25. A LOVING MOTHER

By the time the others arrived at the scene, they were puzzled when they found only the lady in red with the brown wolf.

She was caressing his face in a loving manner as she smiled and rested her face against it. The brown wolf purred in content.

Connery had run all the way there with a racing heart, but seeing his son unharmed, he frowned in confusion and looked around for Reginald but he was nowhere to be found.

"Didn't my stepbrother disappear with that woman?" Aaron asked as a frown graced his face.

"He did." Amelia agreed as she watched how the lady was drawn completely to Spencer.

"This isn't good." Japheth stated.

Connery was relieved by the turn of events but now he worried for Reginald.

He was sure the lady rejected Reginald since she was with his son.

"We have to find Reginald…please go get Luna Valeria." Connery hurriedly instructed Amelia as he went in another direction.

Back in the ballroom, Kareen faced Lewis as a heavy frown graced her pretty face.
