Daisy's lips tightened into a thin line, feeling irritated over what happened. "Carissa, I think you should put a restraining order on him or something."

Carissa nodded in agreement, but her mind was still preoccupied with the lingering doubts about Daisy's reaction to her story. However, she pushed those thoughts aside, choosing to focus on the overwhelming happiness she felt at that moment.

A few days later, David was leaving a car dealership, engrossed in an important call. Distracted, he bumped into someone. The person, clearly irritated, frowned. David's eyes narrowed as he stared at him through his sunglasses. He recognized Duncan, though it was clear Duncan didn't recognize him. Seeing the guards accompanying David, Duncan muttered an apology and walked away.

David turned slightly, watching Duncan head into the establishment. A smug smile formed on his lips as he straightened his suit coat and left.
