Chapter 19

The pair drove in silence, and soon they were passing the house they were buying in the dim light of day. It was glowing there in the trees like a beacon that they would call home by the end of the week. He smiled as she sighed and pressed her face to the glass to look at it more as they drove past it. It was going to be their home.

"Family dinner will be easy to get to." He said with a chuckle.

"For you." She said with a laugh. "My family won't be coming to dinner or us going over there too often."

"And why is that?" he asked.

"Well, my family is slightly disconnected. The main part is I don't want them thinking because I am with you, that means they can start asking you for things." Petra said with a sigh.

"And that means?" he asked.

"Though I love my siblings very much, they have the worst ability to manage things and often find themselves short on money. I always get asked for it like I am the only one who knows how to go out and work for it." Petra said.
