Somewhere in the country, five men sat hurdles around a conference table. Food and drinks kept flowing among them as they chatted boisterously.
Their laughter resonated in the rooms. Each man had a woman draped on his arm like an accessory. With the flowing conversation, the women were never included.
The only odd one at the table was a woman who sat without a companion. She, unlike the rest, was actively participating in the conversations now and then.
This didn't go unnoticed by the others who threw her envious looks from time to time. She wasn't bothered by them. She was used to receiving all sorts of jealous looks around women.
That was perhaps the reason why Zora never felt it worth her time to compete with women. Sadly, this time, she found competition in a certain woman whom she looked down on.
