Her mercy to His penitence

"Don’t do it love! Please. Am sorry I hurt you. How can I live without you? Forgive me. " The girl stood at the cross road. Tears streamed down her pale cheek as she debated between listening to his pleas or to her heart. She was tired and could no longer take any of it. He took everything from her yet she stayed until she felt that her soul was no longer alive. Each pain he caused chipped a little at her soul until there was nothing left to give. His Guilt

King Alexander sat in his office working on some documents. Looking at the clock hanging on the wall, there were a few minutes left before his next appointment.

He sighed for the umpteenth time. As the days drew closer to his resignation, the workload continued to increase. He needed to ensure that all the state matters under his leadership were well organized before handing over.

As for the next King, he didn't know. Although he wanted his son to take over, a part of him knew that his son wasn't a suitable candidate. Unlike his wife, he wasn't indulgent of his children's every whim.

He knew he had failed as a father the minute Xander's shameful deeds were exposed. He had even gone to see Leo to reduce the impact.

He didn't do it as a father. He did it as a King. His judgement wasn't the best but it was favourable at the time. The court sessions would begin in three days.
