Dinner Date

Jasmine looked around at the decorations in the room. She felt nervous. This was the first time she was doing something romantic in her life. With Enzo, he had always disliked it when she tried to set up dinner for them.

His pride wouldn't let him appreciate her efforts. After the first few trials, she had stopped doing it. Jayden was not like Enzo. Even though they were best friends, their personalities were parallel to each other.

She hoped that he would like it. This was one of her most private spaces. She walked towards the table and ensured that everything was in place. Letting out a heavy sigh, she fidgeted with her nails as her eyes stayed on the clock.

Any minute now, Jayden would show up. She had sent him the location a few hours ago. Ten minutes went by, then twenty, then thirty. He was running late. The more time he took, the more unsure she felt about her plans.
