Chemistry

The night air was warm. With the stars hanging above them, the moon witnessed their state. It was supposed to be a good evening for them both.

Sadly, it wasn't. Mark was sitting a few feet away from his partner. Sarah on the other hand was kneeling by the bonfire.

Her eyes were once again wet. The prince would like to say that he understood but he didn't. He never lost someone close to his heart.

Gone was the tough general who commanded in the field. All he saw was a girl, fragile as a leaf. She wept bitterly for someone she wished she still had.

Mark could only look away from her. How else was he supposed to help? No matter what he says, her mother won't be brought back to life.
