A Healthy Relationship

Levi woke with a start, the sound of his chiming phone disrupting his sleep. He picked up the call, his eyes still heavy with sleep.

Soft whimpering sounds came from the other side of the phone. His initially tired eyes became alert instantly. It was then that he realized the person on the other side of the call.

Neither spoke. Levi silently watched Arya cry. Her eyes were filled with remorse, love and yearning. For some reason, he was certain that her current state wasn't because of him.

However, he had a part in why she looked this broken. The last time she was thus broken felt like ages. It was around the time their baby was born.

True to his words, Levi managed to stay out of her business. He could have easily gotten the information he needed. He could have a daily report since Mara was still there.

Yet, he refrained from asking. For his sanity, he needed to not torture himself further. Being around his family members kept him distracted.
