Her mercy to His penitence

"Don’t do it love! Please. Am sorry I hurt you. How can I live without you? Forgive me. " The girl stood at the cross road. Tears streamed down her pale cheek as she debated between listening to his pleas or to her heart. She was tired and could no longer take any of it. He took everything from her yet she stayed until she felt that her soul was no longer alive. Each pain he caused chipped a little at her soul until there was nothing left to give. She was now an empty soul that was hanging on a thin thread. She was only breathing, but being alive never counted as living. It was time to let go. A father's perspective

A heavy silence hung in the air between the father and son. While the prince's heart was in pain, his father was tied in knots.

The King didn't know how to feel about everything he just heard. To think that he dared to visit Leonardo and blackmail him into keeping the engagement.

He felt betrayed and stupid. He should have done more investigation before jumping to defend his son. He should have played fair as a king and given his son a fair trial like everyone else.

Instead, he did the opposite. He played the biased father role and oppressed the victims. The shame washing over him in waves didn't help his situation.

His mind conjured up events where his daughter was the victim. If he was in Leo's shoes, he would raise hell to make that bastard pay.

The more he thought about it, the ugly his expression got. He turned his sharp gaze towards his son, taking in his pitiful look.
