Chapter 1

Saturday mornings are relaxation and fun days for Kate and her 7 years old son Fame, but this Saturday has a bit of twist to it as Kate and her son has a wedding to attend, not some regular weddings or some casual friends wedding but of her ex's husband, the father of her only son's wedding. Kate and her ex's divorce has been one of the greatest achievement of her life, tho it took time and patience but she succeeded in getting her freedom as the marriage was never meant to happened in the first place. Maybe Kate sometimes feel cheated but all her pains and burdens became lighten whenever she looked at her son Fame. It's been 4 good years since her divorce with her ex-husband, a marriage that lasted for 5 years. Kate had moved on an so well, facing only her career as a journalist and dedicating the rest of her time to her son which she co-raised with her ex. Even tho Kate and Nelson are divorce, they never for once had issues on Nelson taking care of his responsibilities. He came around to take Nelson out some Saturdays and sometimes Fame insist his mum follows which makes the three bond atimes but it was nothing more than parenting bonding even tho little Fame wanted more . When Nelson had came to Kate's house with his wedding invitation for Kate and little Fame, it's been a little tough for little Fame to comprehend the situation. in his little understanding, he had cried and ask questions like 'Most of my friends parents are married to each others, why did daddy want to marry another woman instead of you mummy. ' Kate had Carried the little boy on her lap to calm him down and explain things to him the best way she could but he had ran off that day screaming 'I hate daddy. ' Kate made the little boy understand the little way she could, that not all parents are meant to be married to each others and that his Dad will never abandon him that he'll still bring gifts and take him out. It took few more days to convince little Fame but it happened.

Kate rushed up so early this Saturday, to dress her son up as his going to be the ring bearer at the wedding. Nelson has suggested Fame came over to the house so he could follow them directly to the wedding venue but Kate wouldn't trust anyone in that house with her son due to her previous experiences in that house and the kinds of complains she got from her Son whenever he goes there.

Kate wore her son the grey suit her father has sent a week back , he sure know his son's size as the dress fit perfectly well on his little body. Kate smiled at her son's appearance as she thinks he looks like a small groom. She quickly took pictures of him before resulting to feeding him because the last thing she wants is for her son to be hungry while at that house or amidst them at the wedding event. she packed some cookies, chocolates and drink in one mini throwback bag she got for him on there last trip to Paris. It's a fashionable bag that'll make a little boy appear expensive . She was still feeding him when she had car horn. 'Oh Mehn, Fame love, your ride is here.' Kate said to the little boy on her lap as she raise him up . ' So What will you promise Mom little man?' Kate asked to her son while his on his feet as she bent to his level readjusting his bow tie and re-straightening his dress .

'To be a good boy and never talk back at elders. ' The little boy replied with frown on his face.

'... and Fame, you should smile, hmmm? Dad and I love you. okay? ' she was trying to lighten her son's mood when the horn came again. 'Oh boy, you have to go now, if there is any other thing you forget, I'll bring it to the wedding for you.' She said and quickly rushed out of the house as she carried Fame on her shoulder.

Few minutes later, the car disappeared into the thin air and Kate sighed in relief, now she's gat all the time she needs to dress for her ex's wedding.
