Chapter-9

Asher looked at Lily who is sleeping peacefully on her bed. He kept staring at her as she is in her deep sleep. H is sure that Lily heard what he and Sophia had been talking about downstairs and he regrets that, He didn't notice her while talking nonsense.He is not sure how much she had been heard their conversation but he is sure that, She wanted her parents to be together and never wanted to see them fighting with each other.

He took a deep breath as he caressed her hairs. He couldn't do anything about her wish which is her parents to get together.

Because their chapter had been ended a long back ago. Even though, Asher still loves his ex-wife, he hates her at the same time, because she is the one that left Lily when she is just 2 years old. She never cared about how her leaving would effect Lily at all. She was selfish and just left the home for her happiness.

She had never thought about the consequences and just did what she wanted to do. Though, Asher had given her everything that she wanted in her life, but still, she choosed someone else over him.

He was shocked and suprised that how can Sophia love someone else when he is the one who loved her the most? How can she choose someone else? How can she fall for someone else after living with him and loving him... And not only that, but she had given birth to his daughter! His only wish was to stay as a happy family always but they were never a happy married couple then how will they ever be a happy family?

He used to think that things would settle down once they have a child and so, he requested her to have his child when they found out that Sophia is pregnant. She doesn't at all ever wanted to have a child. She was not ready but she can't just adopt the baby!

Tears rolled in his eyes as he looked at Lily as he didn't ever think that, she would be left out without a mother. The woman who took vows with him to stay with him forever had left him and his child for someone else. How can she fight for a Custody now of the child who she had left a long back ago? Is this called mother's love? Why does she suddenly wanted to have Lily near her? She is the woman, who said, she doesn't at all care about her child since she was forced to have her. Why would a woman like her want Lily after all these years?

These questions always irritate Asher a lot. He tried to ask her many times but he never gets a proper answer from Sophia. The only answer, he gets from her is that, 'She is her mother and she has a right to ask for custody of her child and a child needs a mother.'

He hates her right now for dragging his daughter to this situation who is really innocent and all these might trigger her a lot and effect her life but hence, they are already in this situation right now. They can do nothing but fight for Lily.

He sighed as he covered Lily with the comforter and kissed her forehead.

He stood up and turned off the lights.

He walked towards the door and looked at her for the last time before he close the door behind him.

He walked to his room and directly went to the restroom. He removed his clothes and immediately got under the shower.

He closed his eyes as he remembered earlier incident with Ivy in the Restaurant.

As soon as he is done talking a deal with the client in the Restaurant, he was about to get out of the restaurant but suddenly, he saw Ivy there and tried to meet her. The actual reason to meet her was to ask her, 'Why she had agreed to marry him?'

As he walked towards her, he looked her looking absolutely stunning. He wanted to grab her and kiss her at the first sight he looked at her in the Restaurant but he remembered that, she is marrying him for the sake of his money. Just because he is rich.

Literally, she was called as a gold digger. He wanted to show her place as a gold digger in the restaurant. He knows that he had humiliated her so badly but he wanted to see if she will change her decision in marrying him but until now... He gets no information about her and so, he understood that she will never get down on her words and she will marry him for the sake of her company. He promised himself to make her life miserable. He wanted her to show that, selling herself to someone to save her company is not an option but she had an option to save her company in many ways but she choosed the easiest way and accepted to get married to him just because of his luxury.

He chuckled as he realised that, he is going to have fun playing around with her and making her life miserable because she is selling herself to him as a wife and he will have all the rights as a husband to make her life hard to show her that what a gold digger like her deserves...

But at the same time, looking at her doesn't at all feels like, she is a gold digger who would do anything for money. Her face is just too innocent that it's just too unbelievable that she choosed this option and agreed to marry him so easily.

He realised that, she doesn't at all know anything about him then how can she just accept him just like that to marry him?

A realisation suddenly hits him that, they are going live together as wife and husband in one home, one room... And should sleep on one bed. He groans as he hated to even say that, she is going to be his wife.
