The Strings Get Tighter

Gabriel took a sip of alcohol and coughed hysterically then had a hiccup.

"Don't worry, I am licking them," he added, taking another sip from his bottle.

Sophia exhaled deeply and closed her eyes tightly as if that would block the hatred she was receiving from Gabriel.

"I wouldn't do that. You know I can't do that to you," Sophia said in a low voice and hid a sob. "I just want to warn you to be careful about Nathan. He wants to destroy you," Sophia answered, peeping out through the window to see if Nathan was driving back.

"Uh... just that. Well, it makes absolutely no fucking difference right now. You're a little late to the party because I have already destroyed everything," Gabriel said, taking another sip of alcohol and laughing hysterically.

"Where are you, Gabriel?" Sophia asked, truly concerned, and at that question, Gabriel stopped drinking and asked if she was asking for her new man.
