She's Got Nine Lives

Her alarm had gone off too late, so she had to rush out of the home before she got late to pick up Angie.

"Fuck!" Karen said as she opened her purse, looking for her credit card.

She had stopped in at a coffee shop to have a quick beverage before making her way to Angie's to pick her up.

At the counter, she removed everything from her purse, but she couldn't find any of her credit cards. She took back everything in her purse one by one

Karen felt embarrassed and glanced down as other customers in the line began to murmur amongst themselves.

"Sorry, I'll…" she had started mumbling and just then Carey walked up to the counter and handed over his card.

Karen couldn't help but stare in his direction because he exuded such a strong presence. When she initially spotted his eyes, she quickly glanced away so that she wouldn't become entranced by them.
