After a day of traveling with the man in black robes, Michel finally arrived at the destination he spoke of, riding on a flying beast.
It was a tamed monster with a long neck like that of a crane, which was commonly found on the first floor and used for transport purposes.
Not only transports but the tamed monsters are also used for various purposes like lifting heavy weight, for rearing purposes, developing medicine, for food, some tamers would even use them in battles showing off as much power as the summoners or the spirit contractors.
So Tamer was also a pretty popular class in the Tower.
Leaving those things aside, Michel looked at the city in front of him.
The capital of Cradle, Freljord. It was a place that introduced the Tower of Myth to the new climbers.
As magnificent as its name sounded, It was a place that homed countless guilds and organizations that were gathered there to recruit potential members.
And since countless guilds and organizations would be present there all the time, the administrator of the 1st floor had set up a special rule that no one was permitted to fight inside the city or attack others, if they did they would be facing the fury of the administrator.
The administrators who looked over the tower floors were either former rankers or high rakers, so no one dared to mess with them.
Standing in front of such a city, Michel looked ahead, gazing at the streets and roads.
It was a bustling city with its trees of concrete and steel standing tall, unwavering from the wind. The mechanically engineered cars that were running with help of mana stones and various beast carriages filled the roads. Its streets, were full of people, walking without a second thought, completely oblivious of the world around them, and the new climbers who were lost in awe and praise for the beauty of the city.
Just with a look, Michel could see various kinds of people engaged in their work, some enthusiastic climbers sparring with each other, street vendors who were forcing a smile on their faces to please the customers, and many more of them immersed in their own works.
"The Tower is a broad place, each floor comprises its own world, its own culture, climate, and even people. You will get to experience the Multiverse in the Tower so try to not get lost in it, as you climb higher"
The robed man said seeing Michel who was watching the city with interest while dismounting from the winged beast and moving into the city!
Michel didn't say anything in response to his 'advise' but just followed behind him in silence.
The streets were busy with climbers moving back and forth, and he also noticed some new climbers who might have just passed the tutorial like him, enthusiastically touring the city.
Watching over his surroundings Michel followed the robed man obediently.
Not long after they arrived in front of a massive building that stood tall like a skyscraper right in the heart of the city!
"Welcome to our guild branch on the first floor"
The robed man said climbing up a few steps and turning back towards Michel.
Michel was quite surprised at the scale of the building, as someone who lived all his life in the countryside, it was his first time seeing a skyscraper building like the one in front of him.
They walked into the building eventually making their way up to the 21st floor on a mana-powered elevator, where Michel was guided to a normal-looking office.
The insides of the office were a stark contrast to the outside appearance of the building which was luxurious and cozy.
'The owner of the office seemed to be a calm and patient man,' deduced Michel seeing some plants growing in small pots nearby the table.
"Ah! You arrived?"
At the sudden voice that was heard by his ears, Michel hurriedly turned to his right, where he found a middle-aged man watering the plants by the window side!
'What the hell? Was he there all this time?'
Only after he heard the voice did Michel notice that a person is standing there! He didn't even feel his presence with his perception.
'How high level is his stealth to not even be recognized by someone standing just a meter away from him?'
Thought Michel in amazement at the middle-aged man in front of him.
His hairs were already half grey with eyes that lacked all emotions and the most notable thing was a huge scar o his face that ran from the right side of his forehead all the way to his mouth!
"I have bought him as you have ordered, Sir"
The robed man beside Michel said kneeling on the ground.
Michel looked at him for a movement as a thought crossed his mind 'Should I kneel too?' but it vanished as soon as it crossed his head 'Why do I need to!'.
Why should he kneel in front of someone he didn't even know of? so he just stared coldly at the middle-aged man in front of him.
Anyway, The middle-aged man turned towards the robed figure and said, "Good work, you may leave now"
The robed man left as instructed without saying anything. Michel looked back at the robed man who just left and turned back only to find the middle-aged man who was watering the plants just a second ago already sitting on the chair behind the table to his front!
"Then, young man! Would you prefer to have a talk with me while having a cup of tea or would you prefer coffee?"
