His cell phone rang when he thought of Aleya—which didn't even stop spinning in his head—the name of his ex-girlfriend appeared on his phone screen. He picked it up, prepared for everything awkward since the breakup and the loss of Aleya's memory of him.
"Hey, Aleya," Leo said, sounding happy.
"Errr… hey. Looks like I missed our appointment. Sorry. I just fell asleep and no one woke me up."
"No problem. I was also at the office when you didn't call me at all."
"Umm, as an apology, how about we meet after you finish work? I really feel guilty."
Leo should be happy. And he is happy. But when he finds out that Aleya's memory and feelings are gone for him, he feels very sad.
His eyes even looked sad. He who has never had eye bags, has had them since the last month he was without Aleya by his side until Aleya asked him to break up.
"Leo? Are you still there?" asked Alya, breaking his daydreaming.
