Leonidas paused in thought. "And if I refuse to permit your wanderings?" He wanted to know what made this transcender feel particularly confident in facing him. Even his top-tier demons were wary of him.

"Then I'll do it anyway." Anlai replied briskly. He had been ready for this.

"You dare think you'll see the day to wander. You might be in the body of my late father and possess a smidge of power, but in the end, you are merely a transcender who was probably a nobody in his home. I'll crush you with my weight. You are nothing." Leonidas tested the waters.

A muscle twitched on Anlai's cheeks. "You assume my visit to be a necessity but I'll have you know that it's merely courtesy; from one power-drunk evil to another. You can try to stop me, but I assure you, it will be to your loss."
