Chapter 4

They were like magnets pulling me close even though they looked liked they could burn. I was so frustrated that I ran my hands on my face in an attempt to collect my thoughts but that was useless. I strangely wanted to know more about this new kid but I did not know how,the kid seemed unreachable. When I finally realized how useless it was just sitting and doing nothing,I decided to take a stroll. One of my friends had invited me to a party and even though I knew tomorrow was school,I still agreed to go. When I got there I met Roby holding girls on both sides, flirting. Roby gave out a smirk when he saw me before inviting me over. He asked the girls to come back later before focusing his attention on me.

"I thought you were not going to make it man, I almost lost hope..."said Roby with a light tone in his words...he was being playful again. I and Roby had been best of friends since beginning of high school because both of us were trouble makers and none of us loved school. We got along on many occasions and got suspended many times together. The whole school had known about us in the first weeks we reported to school,no one really wanted to mess with us. We began talking of subtle issues until Roby talked about the new kid, that got me really curious.Roby told me of how some students had tried to bully him but he had expressed no emotions, probably because nobody could see his face due to the hoodie and his hair style. Roby suggested that we too should try and bully him to see if we would manage to make him react but I told him that the new kid was mine to bully and Roby instantly backed off,he knew me too well. I asked who the kids were and when Roby told me,I only nodded my head absent mindedly, now that was strange considering how Roby had known me for three years now yet he had never seen me like that. I was actually busy thinking of how to avenge the new kid and I did not notice how I had unintentionally said I'd avenge him. That shocked Roby to the core, what had come over his friend? Since when did I care about new kids in school?
