Epilogue

"Oh, every morning." Kehlani sings softly, as she plays in my hair, my head on her lap. "I rise and stare at the sun."

"I know that it is a blessing, so when the evening comes, I lift my arms to the hills, I'm blessed Oh well, lift my arms as far as I can." She Hums the rest as I resist the urge to fall asleep, the Hawaiian air, mixed with saltiness clipped at my skin, the falling sun allowing coolness to deep into the room.

"I love you," I whisper and she places a kiss on my forehead.

"I love you too."

A whole year after the drama, and she was fully on board when I told her, hey, let's move to Hawaii!

She does her classes online and she's even building her own store here. It's peaceful for now.

I know sooner or later duty will call, and I'll have to claim my title, so I'll take the harmony while I have it.
