<Chapter.03>
A bright color of flame engulfed the whole land, as the whole world has fallen into chaos.
Werewolves running around the streets, eating away every living thing within his range.
Gargoyles grabbing one and another humans, into the sky while playing joke on them till they ran out of joy.
Goblins carrying knives, taking away any lives he saw, not even sparing a child, woman nor a man.
Certainly, if this isn't the end of the world, wht else it would be.
And after seeing this with his own eyes, Kalix cried out to grab everyone's attention; "Everyone! Evacuate immediately!"
At this word of his, those who were stunned over what's currently happening, finally woke up in reality.
Not even a few seconds had passed, their instinct of fearing death out-run the seconds of time, as they ran as fast as they can with their lives.
Kalix was also about to start running by that time, and immediately grabbed the hand of the person he cherished the most, at his side. But unfortunately, her whole body was willingly unmoving. No matter how hard he tried to pull her hand, she doesn't move an inch. At this sight, Kalix fell in utterly despair.
"Hurry and run!" In order to wake her up, he shouted in front of her ears, just to wake her up to the reality she seemingly wanted to decline.
Kalix observed her carefully, and realized that her upper body was trembling. Trembling in despair, as if she already had discarded her life.
But due to the current circumstances, Kalix had no time to spare, for her to recover. That's why even though it's roughly rude, Kalix lifted her up in his shoulders before running at his full speed.
It couldn't be even called a princess-carrying posture, more like, the girl was being kidnapped. But since Kalix was in a hurry, in order to keep himself alive, he didn't had the privilege time to throw a frown over such a thing.
Safety comes first, before embarrassment after all.
As Kalix was about to reach the back exit of the shop, since the entrance was filled with dangers, a deadly creature suddenly made an appearance in front of him and stopped him on track.
"Kkkfggh…."
Kalix gritted his teeth, as he sensed the immense danger.
The creature in front of him was neither a wolf nor a goblin, but instead the guy he had the existence rejected since the morning in the news he saw while watching television.
It was too tall like him, but it wasn't too small either. The creature has a nice built over it's body, and the sharp teeth of this creature was showed drooling in entirely drool.
At this sight, Kalix immediately realized the difference between them.
The difference was like a lion and a prey.
He was the prey, and the monster in front of him was the lion.
Kalix swallowed down his saliva before fixing again the position of asleep Sandra in his shoulders.
If only Sandra wasn't in his side, he would have possibly be able to escape. But even if she's not literally there, the percentage of him surviving was still 0.8 percent.
But if the creature in front of him, was to fest on the girl first, it could buy him some time to escape.
As thoughts like that started processing into his very head. Kalix threw out a punch directed to his cheeks.
"Aarrgh!!....What is that kind of thinking!"
The creature tilted it's head with question marks as it was confused why his prey hurt his own self.
Of course, Kalix discarded thinking like that. As if he would fall so low just to save his own petty lives.
*SFX for the exploding flames like a fire works in the sky*
And when he was finally ready once again to start running, countless of flames suddenly emerged into the sky before exploding into pieces like a firework.
"..."
Kalix was lost of a word at what's happening.
"Did the meteorite fell into the poor earth? If so the world is finally finished now.", he thought.
But just like him, the creature who was ready to devour both of them, suddenly panicked and went into rage.
Suddenly running towards him, Kalix wasn't able to respond.
As the creature distance narrowed almost immediately, Kalix felt the world suddenly stopped.
"I'm finally dead, huh…"
At that moment, Kalix finally accepted the truth.
"Whatta shame, meeting her at this kind of unexpected timing."
At the very least, he wished he could have spoken to her and had a conversation at the coffee shop.
A shame… If only he knew this were going to happen, he would have done it.
And the worst; "I even brought her with me in my grave."
Kalix eyes darkened for a little bit, before swallowing his dried saliva once again.
"Once I met her in heaven, I promise apologize to her in my all heart."
A death was coming, so what can he expect.
It's not like he's a superhuman like in some kind of novels, so the only least he can do is accept his fate.
"What a cruel fate it is."
As Kalix finally given up his life, the world stopped time started to start moving again.
Kalix slowly closed his eyes…. And a few seconds afterwards, a blood flew into his face, and dyed his face with a deep sea of blood, with a nose arousing smell.
***
Just what is this, he is seeing.
One and another, Kalix continued blinking his eyes, while rubbing his eyes sockets to the point where it's began reddening in pain.
Sandra who were in his arms a while ago, has escaped his side.
And when he went to take glances side by side to find her trace, he immediately spotted her in front of the said monster.
The monster who were chasing them so lively, has it's head, beheaded.
By whom?
Even Kalix couldn't believe his eyes.
As the sunlight brushed through them, a silver hair shone rather brightly underneath the beautiful sun.
Bathed in entirely bloody red, the lady's beauty enlightened the sun with it's gleaming hair, making her somewhat eye catching.
Kalix paused for a moment, before finally going into her side.
As he finally got into her side, the eyes of the lady has no conscious nor either does it seemed like she can talk right now.
As soon as he noticed this, Kalix shook her shoulders; "Wake up! Wake up!"
