CHAPTER 8

FAMILIAR

After eating, we all proceed on going to the training room. They said that I'm lucky because we only had one class for today. It's Summoning class.

On the way to the training room. They were telling me about the places here in the academy like the library, cafeteria, professor's quarters, garden, potion room etc.

I knew that the academy was huge but seeing it while walking make me feel so small! Its so huge and wide. They also told me about the missions office. It was a place when we could get a mission when we have time. Sometimes the mission are already designated to someone. Most of the time, Alpha's are the ones who always has a mission as they are considered as the strongest bunch in the academy.

After a few minutes of walk we arrived on a huge field with magical barries around it.

We entered the field and suddenly someone teleported in front of us.

"Ahh alphas, good morning. I'm seeing someone new, a new member huh. It's been so long. Let me introduce myself. I'm Professor Mean , a Maia's blessed. " Our professor introduced.

*prof mean read as me-an*

She has a deep black long hair, and a black eyes. Her aura is so strong and the vibe that she emitted is powerful. And the god who blessed her is not that known but of course I know. Goddess Maia is a goddess who was also blessed by the great goddess Athena. Her abilities are not known but she is famous for her bounce back ability where in any type of attack strong or weak , physical or mental she can bounce it back to her opponent.

"Hayami Red Coelho." I simply said.

She giggle at me and just shrug.

"Anyways let us start, I know that you Alphas has been waiting for this right? So let's begin." Prof Mean.

"Finally, I can summon my familiar huhu. I've been waiting to do this!" Deya utter excitement lace in her voice.

"So who wanna go first? Our goal for today since it's your only class is for all of you to summon your familiar." Prof Mean.

All of them raised their hands in excitement.

"Me! Me! I wanna go first!" Stella shouted.

"Okay it seems that you guys really wanted to see your familiars huh. Let's start with Stella." Prof Mean.

Some of them sigh in disappointment. Making prof Mean laugh.

"Don't worry, you will get your turn. So stella come here . Relax and find the peace in your mind. Think and try to communicate with your familiar while slowly releasing a bit of your mana." Prof Mean explained.

For the first time , I saw Stella being calm. She even closed her eyes to relax. A few seconds we felt her mana flowing out of her body and a few seconds after a big smoke appear behind her and when the smoke dissapear it revealed her familiar.

A... Wyvern a winged and two legged dragon with a barbed tail. Hers is a huge black wyvern with shining violet scales.

"Wahhhh!!! My familiar is a cute dragon!!! I love it!!!" Stella shouted upon seeing her familiar.

We stepped back when the wyvern fly towards Stella. It lowers itself so Stella can ride. Stella happily squel when she finally got to ride the Wyvern. Since the field is literally so big we don't have to worry for the space though because of the huge wings of the wyvern and every time it flaps its wings it kinda create a strong wind.

Stella get down on the dragon and made it smaller then she played with it.

Wow she's truly powerful,it's only the first time for her to summon her familiar but she can already alter it's size.

"Wahhh! I'm so happy my cute dragon talked in my mind! He said his name was Veron" Stella happily told us.

"Well , we're glad for you Stella. Now who wanna go next?" Prof Mean.

All of them once again raised their hands. And Josh is the chosen one.

Like what Stella did, Josh concentrated and slowly release his mana. And after a few seconds a Chimera appear a lion like creature but with a goat's neck protruding from it's back and a tail that ends with a snake's head. Josh subtle smile showed us that he's glad on seeing his familiar without him talking.

Next is Dianne with her Sphinx familiar a creature that has the body of a lion the head and a breast of a woman eagle's wings and a serpent tail . Magna with his fiery and burning red phoenix . Deya with her Basilisk a creature that has the head and a wings of a hawk but the lower body of a reptile like crocodile. Then Zhen with her Nemean Lion familiar a lion whose skin is as hard as a steel and teeth as sharp as a sword.

Alon with the kraken whom he had a hard time summoning he also made it dissapear quickly as the lake in the academy is too small for it eventhough the academy's lake is the widest lake in the holy realm. Yes that's just how big the kraken is. That it even created a slight earthquake when it was summoned. Same with Lana's familiar who didn't just create a earthquake but also emerged from a water whirlpool , a three headed blue Hydra. Yes the twins got the two of the most famous sea monsters. Lana actually passed out because she was so drained when she summon it that's why Profesor advised us to summon our familiar often so we can get used to it. But I know that getting use to summoning them is gonna be a very hard time.

"So who wanna go next?" Professor Mean said while looking at me and Lei.

Because of that me and Lei made an eye contact.

"You go first." He said.

"Nah you go first ." I said.

He raised his brow at me so I did the same.

We both turn to Professor Mean when she laugh.

"Why don't both of you go just do it together? Pick one only okay? I know that both of you has more than one familiar so just pick one." She said making my eyes widened.

How did she know? And I actually have more than one familiar?!

"Oh, Headmistress Bethany told me about you being blessed by two gods too Haya." She explain sensing my nervousness.

I sighed at that but it didn't calm me knowing that I have more than one Familiar! Like why?! It's not that I don't want it but great power comes with a great responsibility and I hate it from the very start I don't want it. The pressure of being powerful and the responsibilities with it. But what can I do? This is blessed to me. I don't have a choice.

"So shall you begin? Remember summon only one okay? We don't want you also passing out."

I closed my eyes and relaxed. I quietly talked in my head saying for it to come to me. Communicating with my familiar . I slowly release my mana and after a few seconds I felt weak and breathless that I have to open my eyes.

A shining white nine tailed fox is in front of me.

Her giant size is making me look up to her the others familiar was big like creatures too but she's just on another level of hugeness. Its tail is so long and huge and her white fur shine with the sunlight she occupied most of the space here! Its golden eyes stare at my amethyst ones.

'Finally you've summon me'.

My eyes widened when it talk to me in my mind.

'I-i y-you are so beautiful ' I tried talking to it.

'Well a beautiful lady like you deserve a beautiful familiar like me.'

'What's your name?'

'The goddess Aphrodite didn't gave me one as she wants you to name me my lady.'

'R-really? Then I shall name you Himari'

'It's my pleasure to be given a name by the God's favorite. I shall go for know but if you'll ever need me just say my name' .

I nodded and give it a smile . It dissapear in front me and when I divert my attention to others I just noticed that they were all looking at me.

"Wow, the nine tailed fox.is.so.pretty!!!" Stella exclaimed . And everyone else nodded in agreement.

"Gosh why is everything about you Hayami is beautiful?!" Zhen exaggerates as she asked.

"Right?! That even Lei failed to concentrate as he also gets distracted by Haya's look when she closed her eyes." Deya utter making me look to Lei and he avoided my gazes.

Prof Mean cleared her throat getting our attention.

"That's truly a amazing and a rare familiar you have there Hayami. But why did it go away so fast? I feel like you can still hold it in with your mana." She asked.

"Well, I don't really need her to stay as I'm not in danger or something ." I replied.

She just nodded and turned to Lei.

"Finally its your turn." Prof Mean said and Lei just nodded and did the routine.

After a few seconds we felt his mana being release. As we suddenly felt the hotness in the air we all widened our eyes upon seeing the famous three headed dog the great Cerberus is in front of us , all three heads is opening its mouth showing us its huge and sharp teeth. The fire it emits is making the air hot.

Lei just silently gaze at Cerberus and it also just look at him . It seems that they're talking in their minds.

After a few seconds it dissapear and I almost giggle when most of them sighed in relief.

"Wow! Holy! Cerberus?! That's so unfair?!" Magna whined.

"Well what should we expect." Josh shrugged.

"Okay, well done for today Alphas. I know you guys are exhausted so class dismiss."
