CHAPTER 14: A Son's Longing

It was already morning when Mat was still asleep. I went to the kitchen to prepare some breakfast for Mat and Dad.

" hmm, what am I going to cook today!?" Asking myself like a crazy person, ha-ha just kidding.

" Aha! I'm going to make "farmer's breakfast" for today!" I exclaimed with excitement while one of the maids was looking at me. Maybe she thinks I'm a crazy son of a rich businessman. I slowly smile feeling with embarrassment while I slowly open the fridge.

I took all the ingredients that I needed. There's bacon strips, eggs, potatoes,onions and cheddar cheese. I diced the onions, boiled the potatoes and cut them into cubes.

I was looking at some ingredients because something was missing, the maid looked confused too.

" Do you need some help from a young master?" She asked.

"I can't find the pepper and salt. Do you know where it is?" I asked anxiously.

" It's on the cabinet young master" She replied gently

I took the pepper and salt and prepared all I needed for the cooking. I prepared some freshly picked orange juice from my dad's orchards. For dessert, I prepared a simple " Yogurt-Ricotta Cheesecake". Cynthia, my dad's most trusted maid at the safe house, helped me prepare the ingredients.

I have finished cooking and asked Cynthia to call my dad for breakfast.

I went to our room to wake up Mat, but as I entered, I saw him done taking a shower. He's naked while drying his hair with a white cotton towel.

"Oh my god! Babe!?" I exclaimed

" Why babe!?" He asked

" Wear your underwear!" I replied feeling annoyed with his actions.

" Come on babe you already seen it" Then he smiled very flirty and kissed me on my cheeks.

" Babe, what if someone suddenly opens the door and it's not me!?" I uttered, feeling a little bit dismayed.

" Ahhh... I see, so now you're being protective huh?" He replied then he smiled at me teasingly

" Of course you're mine now, and that's..."

I looked down to see his d*ck and then looked up to stare at his eyes and said;

" Breakfast?, ha-ha-ha" I giggled

" Babe you're such a tease" He uttered as he put his lips in a clingy way.

" Why!? You thought I was going to do it now.?"

" Yes babe you're gonna give me a quick... ha-ha-ha" he uttered teasingly.

" Alright let's go downstairs, dad must be waiting for us, wear your clothes now babe." I replied

After wearing his clothes we went downstairs to have some breakfast. We saw dad already sitting eating his breakfast.

"What took you so long." Dad asked then he took a sip of the orange juice that I made.

"Oh! nothing dad it's just Mat was a little bit naughty." I replied as I tilted my neck a bit to tease him.

" Uh-huh? why doesn't it sound naughty to me." Dad uttered then he looked and smirked at me teasingly.

" Dad stop! now I'm embarrassed with my aunt Cynthia." I replied back.

" Okay, now let's eat , the food is getting cold."

We sat down and started eating but then I suddenly remembered mom.

" By the way, are you going home today?" I asked

" Yes, son I'm going to surprise your mom today, I wasn't able to be with her lately cuz' I'm busy at work." He replied.

" Dad can we come too?" I asked

" Of course, your mom always misses you, she always asks about you when I'm at home." Dad replied

After we had our hearty breakfast, we headed back home together with Mat. The guard opened the car and he opened the car door for us.

" Mom! we're here!" I shouted with excitement

" Oh! there you are, I miss you guys." Mom uttered with longing.

She hugged both of us, but she noticed Mat, so she extended her hand as a sign for Mat to join the group hug.

" Did you guys have lunch?" Mom asked

" No honey, we just had breakfast this morning, your son is a good cook." Dad replied

" Of course! I'm a great cook too that's why he's good at cooking." Mom said confidently

" And that's the reason why I married you." Dad uttered teasingly.

We all laughed while the maids were preparing them on the dining table. We were about to start eating when suddenly someone was calling me on the phone. It's Emily, I bet she's going to remind me again of her birthday.

" Hello, Emily?"

" Hello Mike, I just want to remind you that my birthday will start at five okay?" She uttered

" Yup, yup got it!" I replied

" It's only a simple birthday party, no need to be formal." She uttered

"Thanks Emily will be there at exactly 5pm"

" Alright then see you my friend." She uttered delightedly

" Is that Emily?" Mom asked

" Yes mom, she's inviting us to her birthday on her dad's old villa." I replied

" Oh! yes I remember now, I used to take you there even on holiday and you enjoyed playing at the beach with Emily." She uttered.

I've noticed Mat that he was a little bit distracted and uncomfortable about what my mom said.

" Excuse me Mr. and Mrs. Davis, may I use your bathroom." Mat hesitantly uttered and headed to the bathroom.

I looked at mom and shook my head then pouted like a kid.

" Oh! Sorry son I didn't mean to say that, go after him maybe he's thinking a lot of things now." Mom uttered.

I followed Mat to the bathroom and caught him staring at the mirror while looking upset.

" Babe are you okay?" I gently uttered as I got closer to him.

" I didn't know that both of you were that very close." He uttered, looking a little bit dismayed.

" Who? Emily? babe I swear she's just my childhood friend and my chance of falling in love with her is zero. And besides she has a boyfriend." I explained gently

He pouted his lips and hugged me very clingy.

" Babe I want to make memories like that with you." He uttered sweetly.

" Awe, I can't believe that a handsome Mat Adriano is very clingy huh?" I replied teasingly.

" Babe I'm serious, I want to make happy memories with you for the rest of my life." He said

" But babe we already have a lot of memories in bed." I uttered then smiled at him teasingly.

" ahh okay, so you're teasing me huh?"

He started kissing me on the neck just enough to make me feel tickled.

" ha-ha-ha babe not here, what if mom suddenly enters the bathroom." I uttered

" How about let's make memories here." He replied in a flirty tone.

" Babe ,I know what you mean! ha-ha ,but mom and dad are waiting for us for lunch." I uttered.

Then we rushed in at the dining table to have lunch with them.

"Hmm.. what took you so long" Dad asked

"Oum.. nothing dad" I replied while both of them were not convinced.

I was washing the dishes when I noticed Mat and mom were at her garden , dad was busy reading some newspapers.

"Young master, please take rest, I'll do that for you." One of the maids uttered

" Nope it's okay, I've been doing this since dad left. You know I'm not used to having servants but thank you." I replied.

I was wondering what they were talking about.

[At Mom's Garden]

" Mat you finally came, I haven't had a chance to talk with you since the last time we had breakfast here." Mom uttered.

"I'm sorry Mrs. Davis, we didn't get the chance to visit you cuz' everything was messed up lately." Mat replied

" It's okay Mat, Mike's dad already told me that you went to save Mike from that kidnapping incident. He didn't tell me that my son was kidnapped, I will be in a total panic moment if I knew during that incident." She replied

" It's all true Mrs. Davis" Mat replied

" Mat, I don't know what lies ahead for the both of you. But I just want to tell you that, please don't hurt my son. If both of you argue, please don't end it with break-ups. Just look back at why you love him in the first place." Mom uttered gently

" I love Mike Mrs. Davis, I am willing to sacrifice myself just to save him." Mat replied as he's eyes got teary a bit but he wiped it out quickly.

" Hey!!! what are you guys talking about, anything interesting?" I suddenly interrupted their conversation.

I noticed that Mat's eyes turned a little bit red.

" Hey babe! did you cry!? ha-ha mom!? what did you do!?" I uttered teasingly.

" Oh! nothing dear we're just having a heart to heart talk with my son in law." Mom replied teasingly too.

" Mom, stop! he's being shy now. " I uttered

" Okay, I'm gonna leave you two here. I'm going to check at your dad about what he's been up to." She replied

Mat and I were left alone at my mom's garden. We Sat down at the swing where I used to play since I was little.

" You know babe, you're such a lucky guy. You have a supportive mom and dad. Unlike me, dad is always busy with his business." Mat uttered

" Babe don't be like that, I'm always here for you. And besides, mom and dad agreed in our relationship." I gently uttered then hugged him tight to give him some sort of comfort.

He felt relieved the moment I told him that.

" Babe, if you don't mind me asking, I just want to know about your mom, cuz' you never mention her to me."

Mat's mood changed as I mentioned about his mom. He became sad and as I looked into his eyes, it was like, he was about to cry.
