New York, 3 May 2012.

It has been several hours since the Asgardians, known as the god of deception and lies, stole the Tesaract from the campus of the spy organization known as the Shield.

Although Nick Fury and Maria Hill attempted to reclaim the infinite source of energy, loki managed to use his scepter to control Clint Barton and a number of other agents to help him escape.

So he decided to bring together a group of individuals with supernatural abilities and form a team called the Avengers initiative.
