Chapter 9: Fresh Perspectives
When Harry used his Spirit Vision, he noticed several injuries on Dobby's body.
"Are you not taking care of yourself, Dobby? Why do you have so many injuries?" Harry inquired.
"These are old injuries, Master Harry. They will heal if I take proper medicine," Dobby replied.
Using Spirit Vision, Harry observed a fast-diminishing energy or fog in the room.
After thinking for a while, Harry concluded, "This energy must be what we call magic. I can see magic with Spirit Vision. Maybe it should be called Magic Vision."
"Is the magic level in this room always this high, Dobby?" Harry asked.
"When we first teleported here, the magic level was not this high. But after Great Wizard Harry drank the potion, the magic level began to increase. Now it's returning to normal," Dobby explained.
Harry realised that drinking the potion had drawn in massive amounts of magic energy from the surrounding areas.
"Next time I take a potion, it should be in a location rich in magic energy," Harry suggested.
Concerned about the abnormal magic energy fluctuations being noticed by the Ministry, Harry said, "We have to leave this place quickly. Dobby, let's teleport out of here and erase any evidence that we were here."
Dobby teleported all the potion-making instruments and then teleported Harry back to his room.
Using Spirit Vision again, Harry observed his own body and noticed a black spot on his famous lightning scar and old injuries all over his body that hadn't healed completely.
Harry thought that the black spot on his scar was due to soul fragments and that the old injuries and undernutrition were from living with his aunt.
"Is there any potion that can help with my undernutrition and treat my old injuries, Dobby?" Harry inquired.
"There are some potions that can help, Master Harry, but they have side effects like increased appetite, a need for sleep for a week, and a decrease in magical ability. They're also quite expensive," Dobby informed.
Harry gave Dobby 25 golden Galleons and instructed, "Buy the potion."
Dobby nodded, said goodbye, and teleported away.
After Dobby left, Harry pondered, "What should I do now?"
"Let's see what difference becoming a Seer has made," Harry thought.
He cast Lumos, and the light produced at the tip of his wand was brighter than before.
Harry then began casting all the spells he knew and saw that each spell was more powerful and that his control over magic had increased.
"How will I act as a Seer at school? What will be the principles for a Seer?" Harry wondered.
He knew that courses like Astronomy, Divination, and Arithmancy would be helpful for his act as a Seer. Knowing the movie plot, he could pretend to know the future. If everyone believed he was a Seer, the Seer potion could be digested without suspicion.
Feeling hungry, Harry went to eat. While eating, he caught up on the latest gossip in magical London. There was no news about Sirius Black, and the Ministry was doing their best to catch him. There was no other significant news.
Harry returned to his room and started reading his second-year books. After five hours, he stopped.
"After becoming a Seer, my reading speed has increased, and all of Harry Potter's older memories have synchronised with me," Harry said. "I don't think there's much difference between the old Harry Potter and me."
'I wonder if I can practise some divination.'
'Is Hermione going to arrive tomorrow?'
Harry flipped a coin, and it landed on heads.
Feeling hopeful, he attempted another divination.
'What time will my friends arrive? In the morning or in the afternoon?'
He flipped the coin once more, and it landed on heads, indicating morning.
However, the coin ended up standing on its edge.
'They won't be coming in the morning or the afternoon, so they must be coming at noon,' Harry reasoned.
