Mind and Hogwarts Express

I must say that the time before the day of the match was really interesting. I spent much of the time trying to understand how wands react to magic, how they react to a wizard's power. Because wands can make it easy, or even possible, for a mediocre wizard to use magic that is many times more advanced than his or her level.

With my wand in hand, I felt it was much easier to channel my magic. The magic power was there, in my body, and it maintained a connection with the wand in my hand, so that the moment I cast the spell the wand served as a focus, so I didn't need to concentrate so much.

During this pre-school time, I kept up my other training, such as book studies and physical exercises, which I added to my routine a few years ago during the trip.

Body, mind and magical power, this was the true trinity of power.

My training consisted of doing push-ups, squats, and sit-ups, as well as lunges. Maintaining physical health was one of the things I realized helped with magical development, it was like having a good environment to evolve in.

In addition, I kept up a routine of going out on a trough street during those days. I would find a busy street and sit somewhere nearby, be it a coffee shop, restaurant, or even a bench in the park. I would just sit in these places and let my legilimency travel through their minds, which I must say although simple were fascinating.

The mind was something incredible, each person there had thoughts that didn't seem to come from her, but from a part she was hiding from the world, the women unhappy with her husband, the employee wanting to punch his boss. The young man who intensely wanted to propose to his best friend, I knew he wouldn't be rejected, but he himself was afraid, afraid of losing her.

I did this as training, being a natural gave me an immense advantage, but I still needed the intense training, reading so many minds at the same time was exhausting, my head hurt, and sometimes all those voices seemed like they were going to drive me crazy.

But in those moments I would increase my focus, look for one voice among all and just listen to it.

This exercise helped me in many ways, besides helping me to close my mind and improve my legilimency, it served as a focus and mental strength training.

I knew that the art of closing my mind would be one of my greatest assets. Especially when facing wizards with great mastery in the art of mind invading.

A certain old man with a crooked nose and another bald man with no nose came to my mind.

Also, one of my secrets to using magic masterfully, was to use my feelings when doing so. While I was in people's minds, their feelings extended to me, their passionate hearts, their ambitions or even their evilness, their hatred and fear.

I could feel them and I tried to absorb them, to leave them stored in my mind, to help me remember the feeling when using magic.

This was really useful, but it had its problems my own feelings were agitated, I knew that if I didn't train in occlumency this method would be dangerous.

But I couldn't stop, I didn't want to stop.

When I concentrated I could hear her deepest desires, which gave me a great feeling, it was addictive. I knew that it only took a whisper from me for her to move on, believing it to be her own idea.

But time kept passing and soon the long-awaited day of departure for Hogwarts arrived.

I woke up early that day, and did all my exercises, organized my books and potions materials inside the suitcase, and took my robes and things like the cauldron and telescope and put them inside as well.

I put on a fresh set of clothes, and combed my hair. How do I look? I asked myself, walking towards the mirror, it was true that I hadn't given much focus to anything but magic during these last years, but now that my school life was about to begin, I should focus on other things, at least a little.

I stood in front of the large mirror in my room and smiled in satisfaction as I saw the reflection of a handsome eleven-year-old.

"Not bad," I muttered, examining myself from top to bottom.

I was a little tall for my age, my hair was medium length in a light brown, my blue eyes were undoubtedly beautiful, it was a dark blue that gave me a certain charm.

"Happy is the witch who wins my heart" I said trying not to sound too narcissistic.

After I finished getting ready and confirming everything, I put my wand under my shirt and went downstairs to the main room where Charlie was already waiting for me.

Charlie took me to the station, this time by apparition.

'Apparating is something really useful, I'll try to learn it as soon as possible' I thought, after the dizziness had passed

We have passed the famous barrier between the witch and the wizard side.

I turned toward Charlie and saw him staring at me with red eyes, he made a movement and grabbed me.

He hugged me tightly, and I thought he was going to cry, in a weak voice he said.

'' if you need anything just send an owl and I'll be there''

"Don't worry, Hogwarts is the safest place in the world," I replied with a hint of sarcasm.

After saying goodbye, I headed towards the train. As I walked, my eyes passed the big red locomotive, the hogwarts express sign, and that farewell atmosphere of parents and children.

'' I am finally going to Hogwarts''

I smiled as the idea took deeper root in my mind, the letter was not enough, I wanted to be there, only then would I really feel that I was in the world I once dreamed of as I flipped through the pages of the book in my room.

I passed several other young witches pushing their big suitcases with owls.

Some had veterans or family members helping out, others were alone with difficulty putting their luggage up, without stopping my steps I decided to lend a hand and cast a simple spell to lessen the weight of the bags, they didn't even notice what happened.

I didn't have an owl, I chose not to buy one, if I needed to send a letter I could use one from school or borrow one. And the luggage, all I had with me was my enchanted suitcase, which was now a simple handbag, so light I could hold it with one finger.

As I boarded the train, I looked for an empty compartment, it was still early, so most seats were empty, I chose one in the middle and sat down.

I picked up a book on runes to read. As always when I read, I let myself get carried away by the content, listening only overhead when the announcer announced the start. Runes was my new focus of research, this was a subject that I believed had more than was shown on the surface, and as I knew, at Hogwarts only the standard runic alphabet was taught, which was of no use to me, I had already mastered it, I wanted to learn runes in their essence and understand their true power.

Still, I knew it was something that would take time, and it wouldn't be a day that would make a difference, so the moment the train moved I closed the book and decided to enjoy the ride and watch the places we passed by through the window.

I was lucky enough not to have any company on this trip, so I was able to enjoy my first trip on the express in the best way, I carefully observed the places we passed, there were long green plains, and we passed a large lake.

The long plains seemed endless, and reminded me how far the school was from civilization.

The trip was quiet, and when it started to get dark the announcer announced that we would arrive soon and told us to leave our belongings on the train.

Knowing that we would arrive soon I decided to finally put on my clothes, shortly afterwards the train slows down to a stop.

Following the flow of students I got off the train, outside it was cold and dark, the station was lit only by lamps.

"First year! This way new students

I turned toward the voice, there was the half giant Hagrid, wearing a leather outfit, beard and big hair made him look like a savage. Some students beside me gasped in surprise to see him

Seeing someone so big among so many children was funny. Even funnier was seeing him sitting on a little boat that barely fit his butt.

Without much mystery, we went on four by boat across the lake, it was dark and only the lights of the lanterns illuminate under the lake, it was a beautiful sight, I must say. But nothing compared to when the castle appeared, my eyes were fixed on that scene, my emotions began to float and I let them take over.

My heart beat faster and I murmured

"Hogwarts, I'm finally here.

At that time, which I believe we had passed through the protective barrier, I felt something strange coming from the castle, it was a calling sensation, as if something was asking me to look for it.

My eyes that were already on the castle narrowed and I controlled my emotions by returning to my rationality. I didn't know what it was, but it didn't look dangerous, and it gave me a good feeling. So I decided that I would investigate as soon as I could.
