Chapter 28: Yukito

Gabriel wakes up, sitting next to Yuuto's body. He's still asleep, fighting the monster residing in his soul.

Gabriel: I think I can wake him up if can manage to go into his soul.

He puts his hand on his hand trying to break Yuuto out from his unconsciousness. Inside of their soul, Yukito fights off the fire monster with his ice abilities. With the staff in his hand Yukito freezes the ground under the monster and it's feet before whacking it's legs with his staff, shattering it as it falls to the ground.

Yukito: Keito, why can't you do this? I just want to go back to my alone time, the only time I can be happy at all...

Yuuto: Yukito please, Keito can't handle this and you're almost as strong.

Yukito: Then why not Manato? He's stronger than all 3 of us combine.

Yuuto: No! If we give him the body than he'll go on another rampage! It has to be you!

Yukito: Fine.

With a wave of his staff, he shoots shards of ice at the monster but the thing gets hotter and hotter, this time melting the ice.

Yukito: See, I can't even hit it. Yuuto, you switch in, I have a plan so we can get this over with...

Yukito has Yuuto cover the fire monster in a ball of sand which is heated up into molten glass to contain the beast.

Yuuto: I-I did it. I actually did it! Keito, Yukito, did you see that-

The glass is shattered, sending the glass shards flying and cutting Yuuto.

Yuuto: Yukito it didn't work!

Yukito: Oh, well sorry.

Yuuto: Sorry isn't going to cut it!

Yukito: Then let Manato deal with it.

Yuuto: ...

Yukito: Yuuto?

Yuuto: F-fine, Manato, I beg you, please just deal with this thing and give the body back to one of us after-

Crashing into the mind of the 4 souls is Gabriel. By breaking into their souls, Gabriel manages to wake Yuuto up. He hugs Gabriel, crying tears of joy.

Yuuto: Thank you Gabriel, thank you so much!

Gabriel: Okay...let's just continue, we can't waste time.

Yuuto: Okay, let's go.

As the roam through the room, different from the room in the first tournament, looking like an actual room instead of a dark void, the find a deactivated B.0.T.

Yuuto: I got this, it's better to kill it now before it wakes up.

With his staff, he whacks its head off of it's shoulders. As the head rolls to the two's feet, the eyes begin to shine a bright blue.
