Chapter 16: 11:48PM

11:48PM. Cenric stares down Gabriel and Mellan, the 2 being frozen in fear. They break through their daze and activate their orbs. Cenric does the same, turning his arm into robotic skeleton arm. Gabriel shoots himself and shoots tendrils out of his hand to grab Cenric and pulls him towards Mellan's ball of lightning.

Cenric: Looks like you two'll be funnier than that kid with the bandana.

Mellan: Keep Aodh's name out've your mouth.

Cenric: Wow, looks like I hit a nerve. Don't worry, I'll send you to see him soon.

He shoots a hook out of his other hand which manages to grab Gabriel and throws him around.

Gabriel: (What? Nothing has been able to touch me when I'm like this before.)

He cuts the hook from him and grabs Cenric again to hold him in place while Mellan sends a wave of lightning towards him but he created a force field to block the attacks. When the force field dispels itself Mellan runs in to hit him head on with a ball of lightning but Cenric releases an explosion of pellets around himself, one scratching Mellans face. He goes for the attack but his body goes numb.

Gabriel: Wait, that was Jae's opponent's ability...

Cenric: Yeah, that's the reason I've been in and out the losers room. My ability is to copy the abilities of others who've I eaten. Though I do it way better. Like this!

He shoots a ball of fire at Mellan, sending him into Gabriel.

Cenric: Aodh was his name right? Yeah after seeing his true potential I knew I needed his flames.

Mellan: I'll kill you...

Cenric: Sure you will.

Gabriel flies towards towards Cenric and puts his hands through his body to grab his soul but it blast him away.

Cenric: Your entire ability revolves around the soul, the perfect counter to all other abilities. Even so, your lack of experience is what makes you so weak. Sad that I'll kill ou but your ability will live on with me.

He puts Gabriel in a force field, trapping him. Cenric walks up to the weakened Mellan. He uses Ava's ability to grow twice his normal size and Vyacheslava's ability to grow 2 more arms. He picks up Mellan by his arms and use his other 2 arms to grab his neck.

Gabriel: Stop it!

Gabriel punches at the force field but his efforts arm fruitless. Cenric begins heating up the hands around Mellan's neck.

Gabriel: Stop it please!

Cenric: How poetic, you wanted to avenge your friend but you're gonna die by his powers!

Gabriel: STOP!!!

Cenric sets Mellan's head ablaze, completely burning away Gabriel's only other friend from this hellish tournament.
