Chapter 12: Cenric Corbyn

Mellan: Where's Aodh? He said he'd call soon but it's been like 2 hours.

Gabriel: I trust him. Maybe just hasn't gotten the chance.

Mellan: Let's hope that's the case.

Night falls, both Jae and Ali's rounds pass and still no sign of Aodh.

Mellan: That's it, I'm going to go look for him.

Kira: Where are you even going to go?

Mellan: I don't know but I'll figure it out. He can't be outside of the dome because he would've called me. They had to have taken him somewhere. I'll ask Ali, he might know where the losers go.

He storms out of the looking for Ali and finds him in Building 1 after a few minutes watching the current match.

Mellan: Ali, where do the losers go after they lose?

Ali: I don't know. They probably just leave.

Mellan: That can't be the case. Aodh said he would call me after our match and he still hasn't. It was forever ago and he always keeps his promises. So tell me, do you know where the losers go after they lose?

Ali: Maybe they're in a sperate building to the 4 we know. Like a Building 4 losers arena.

Mellan: Okay, thank you so much.

Aodh roams through the darkness, trying to find some where to escape or at least contact someone. The longer he stays in there the more he seems to fade away.

Aodh: It least this process is painless.

???: Oh no, you're actually one of the lucky ones. Usually the withering process is excruciating.

From the shadows emerges number 100. He shoots one of his hooks into Aodh and he returns to normal, no longer fading away.

Number 100: How about you sit down for a little bit?

Reluctantly, he does so.

Number 100: Let me get straight into it. You were the person following me 2 nights ago, weren't you?

Aodh: Yeah... why?

Number 100: So you know that that door wad the door to lead into here don't you?

Aodh: No, I didn't.

Number 100: Oh, well doesn't really matter now.

Aodh: Can I ask you a question?

Number 100: Shoot.

Aodh: Just who are you?

He gets up and stands over Aodh.

Number 100: You can call me the Hand of Death, Cenric Corbyn. Let's make a deal, you bring me down to my knees, I'll open the door out of here.

Aodh: Really?

Cenric: You have my word.
