Chapter 25 - Someone I used to know

He ultimately obtains what he wants, which is power, money, and celebrity. Jonathan Green was feeling disoriented.

The woman who pursued him and listened to all of his requests has vanished.

He expected the lady he loved to understand him. Will understand his greed, but he was mistaken.

When he robbed the woman he loves of everything. It was his most significant accomplishment.

He was getting ready to celebrate with her by bringing out all of his toys. (Toys were his sex partners.)

Though she loved him enough to accept him for who he was.

Unfortunately, on the day of the celebration, he prepares. Instead, there was the dying body of the same caring woman who had welcomed him.

It took him by surprise. Why would the lady he only loved in the world, for whom he was prepared to suppress his avarice, attempt suicide?

He was befuddled and perplexed as to what had occurred. He'd rather believe someone tried to kill her than that the person he loved tried to kill herself because of her hatred for him.

He was the one who had her admitted to the hospital. And it was the primary reason she was still alive.

He was expecting her to come to him and plead for forgiveness. He yearned for her to return to his life.

On the day he heard she was awake and being discharged from the hospital. He goes to the hospital because he misses her so much.

However, the woman refused to accept his presence and told the on-duty doctor that she did not know him at the time.

At first, he assumed his wife had amnesia or something. She had not forgotten him, much to his chagrin.

She despises him. Which was the worst-case scenario for him. He felt the world collapsing around him.

Jonathan tried everything he could to forget about the ungrateful woman.

The one he previously thought would embrace him for who he is, not just what he appears to be on the surface.

As a result, his avarice took control. He intends to annihilate the family of the lady he loves.

"What happened to you, Jonathan?" a woman sat on his lap

"Wake up! B*tch!" Jonathan cursed the woman who had been flirting with him.

"Tck! "Why are you in such a foul mood, Jonathan?" A young man approaches him and asks him a question.

"When will the game begin?" Jonathan inquired anxiously, gulping the remaining wine in his wine glass.

Jonathan was invited to attend a unique gender-mixed fight match that night.

Mix gender battles were unusual in the underground arena. Most of the time, it will be a gender-based match.

He was already irritated because he had just awoken from a nightmare about the ungrateful b*tch.

Bryan, Jonathan's friend, was one of the event's organizers, and he encouraged his followers to witness the mixed-gender competitions.

Jonathan became bored after five bouts in the competition's preliminary round.

It was the same dull bouts for him; it will not be pleasant if the intensity is not the same as pure same-gender fights.

It wasn't as intense as a masculine battle. It's not thrilling to watch female fighters compete in the ring.

"Let us welcome Aria Rose VS Dark Sword for the 6th match for tonight," the competition's host says as he introduces the competitors.

Jonathan was startled out of his seat when he heard the same name as his ex-fiancee, Aria.

As a result, he refocuses his gaze on the arena. Someone he used to know was taken aback by what he witnessed.

A lovely lady with shoulder-length pink hair, Wolf's ears, and a fluffy tail dressed in typical sportswear.

"This is an interesting contest; this is both players' first official fight," the male host remarked.

"Aria Rose is not well-known, but she frequently comes here to spar with official members of the underground arena." Some of you have already seen her battle," the host continues to discuss the other participant Dark sword's other features.

But Jonathan's gaze was fixed on Aria Rose.

"She reminded me of her." Jonathan appears perplexed.

Aria Marc, according to what he knows, did not know how to fight.

After one minute of introducing the contestants, the host eventually begins the sixth match.

Aria was unfazed although it was her first time competing in the underground arena. She experienced a lot of adventures in her previous life.

When she saw her first opponent, Dark Sword was wielding a double dagger and she was unarmed.

It didn't surprise her because she doesn't use weapons very often. Even though she is familiar with weapons such as swords, she prefers to fight without them.

She is skilled at fighting, using her sharp claws and tail as a whip.

She defeated her opponent in black and blue in 2 minutes.

The sight of an Aria Rose battle astounded the audience. She appeared to be dancing.

And the way she beat up her opponent was so dramatic that the audience gave her a standing ovation.
