As quickly as the smile on his face appears, it vanishes.
At that point, he understood Aria is aware of his true profession. He wasn't just any doctor; he was a field doctor.
Miguel's real duty was to gather information for the intelligence department.
One of his missions is to track down potential Darkins.
Darkins are the nicknames given to werewolves who engage in cannibalism. Worst of all, they like eating the target alive.
"How's work, Aria?" Miguel inquired, but he noticed Aria's face was frozen.
So he turned to look in the direction Aria was looking. He was surprised to see his two sisters, Michelle and Monica, approaching them.
"F*ck!" Miguel can't help but detest the fact that his two sisters interrupted his dinner meeting with Aria.
Aria can't help but smile when she sees Miguel's frowning. She is aware that the two sisters like tampering with Miguel's love life in previous incarnations.
So Aria has a pretty good idea why the two sisters interrupt the dinner date.
Miguel can assist Aria in lowering her mood to the point where she notices a dip in temperature.
Aria can't help but laugh, so he grabs Miguel's hands and whispers to him.
"It doesn't hurt to relax. Allow me to handle it."
Miguel is surprised, but after a moment, he simply smiles back in response.
"Good day, big brother and sister!" Michelle spoke so loudly that the other people noticed her arrival.
Meanwhile, Monica was discreetly following her sister.
"The two sisters are still the same as I recall," Aria couldn't help but think.
After the two had settled into their respective recliners. Just then, the server appeared and handed out the menus.
Aria had already ordered for all of them before the two sisters and Miguel finished selecting what to order.
"Do you have unli wings for today?" Aria inquires of the waitress.
**Endless chicken wings (combo)
"Yes, you did miss," the waiter responded.
"That's a fantastic four set of unli wings." Just serve four flavors in the first set. Then another four different flavors for the second batch. Mango shakes for him, Ice Coffee for myself, and two fruit sodas for the two sisters for drinks." Aria stated confidently.
The server confirms the order and asks if they want anything for dessert.
"Oh, the desert. 2 servings of chocolate pudding with fresh fruit Aria smiled as she replied, "And mine would be coconut salad."
The two girls were not shocked that she knew what meals they liked, but they were surprised when they saw their brother Miguel's surprised countenance.
It caused the two sisters to have second thoughts.
Meanwhile, Miguel was perplexed as to how Aria knew what meal he preferred. He wasn't very close to her, based on what he remembered.
He got an uneasy feeling that he knew her too well, but he didn't know anything about her at all.
Aria notices Miguel's puzzled expression. "Did I go overboard?" She inquired as she realized.
"I forgot to mention that Miguel and I have just recently reconnected in this incarnation, and we are still not close." "I need to learn to manage myself," Aria told herself.
It was her poor habit to act distant from people with whom she had a wonderful relationship in her current and previous lives.
"Dear Aria, I have a query. "Can you tell me about your current job?" Michelle inquired, attempting to put her to the test.
"Well, Michelle, that's a difficult question." I assume I'm a freelancer. The majority of my projects involve translating books and transcripts. I also work on editing and proofreading tasks. Even when I have original work, I don't put much emphasis on it. "I enjoy working with a large group of people," Aria explained.
It was also the first time Miguel learned Aria was employed. Aria, in his opinion, was more of a businesswoman than a person who translated books.
"How did you meet Mr. Arthur, exactly?" Monica inquired.
"Oh! Are you referring to Arthur? I was trying to create artwork for his upcoming novel's cook. "I was recommended to him by one of my clients," Aria stated truthfully.
"Which novel did you write?" Michelle and Monica both inquired at the same time.
"Hmm, I made three," Aria remarked, "the Moonlight Dream, Revenge of the Past, and the Dark Lover."
"Really? I never expected you to be the designer." Miguel couldn't help but express his surprise.
The three novels all had dismal endings. The first is about a terrible love story.
One is about vengeance and was quite bloody. And the final one is Arthur Green's saddest love story.
"Do you prefer dark and tragic novels, Sister?" Monica and Michelle both smiled as they said this.
The tragic and dark-themed novel appeals to the two sisters. It contrasted the reasons Miguel like the author's works.
He likes it because of the mind games and activities in most of the author's novels or other works.
