Vampire Prince

So why do you both have a tiger?" Clayden asked.

"When I was sixteen I went hunting and I found her as a cub abandoned and I took her as my pet" Kyra explained briefly.

"You both go hunting..." Eros said stunned "you are both something else"

"I'm not surprised," Clayden said with a small smile.

"Why?" Kyra and Kiara asked at the same time.

"I saw you take down those men, just one girl against those men, you are good and I won't be surprised if your sister can do the same" he explained and shrugged.

"So he was watching the whole time" Kyra thought but kept quiet.

"You both are unbelievable," Eros said still shocked.

"Our mama thought us to be independent, so we know how to do a lot of things, we were poor but never lacked anything apart from the money of course, because we hunt our meat, plant our vegetables and also go to the forest to get wild grapes for wine and other fruits for juice, and we have a well were we get constant water from. The only thing we buy is soap and sometimes our mama doesn't want us to use wild berries or grapes so we buy them, she thought us how to fight, use swords and ride horses too. Now thinking of it I think these are one of the reasons the gods chose us" Kiara boasted that tapping her chin.

They were always proud of the little they had.

The girls talk a lot. They like explaining in detail...

"Your mother must have been a good person," Clayden said

"Yh, so you are to take us away from here let's start going, lead the way" Kyra changed the topic and directed the statement to Clayden.

Kyra was already getting uncomfortable with the topic.

Her mother will always be a sensitive topic to her and talking about her will ruin her mood.

"Ok, as a vampire I have advantages over all of you" Clayden started and Eros scoffed but he ignored him and continued "I have super speed, so I won't be needing horses I'll slow down my speed so you all will be able to catch up with me, so get on your horses let's go" Clayden ordered and they all got on their horses.

As he promised he slowed down. He was at least while they were riding their horses with Wynstar trailing beside them.

Clayden finally stopped running and all of them halted. He stopped at a large tree. Then he pushed something on the tree and then a space as a entrance appeared. It was like a secret entrance. He entered inside and they all followed him in.

They passed through the tree and Clayden closed it back. They saw people moving about, children playing and running about. They saw houses and store shops. They saw some mothers carrying babies. It was like a community. No doubt they were all vampires like him.

There were houses here and there. The land was vast.

The vampires will be many they thought.

"Welcome to my home, home of vampires" Clayden spread his hands out in the air.

"Wow, baby vampires too, so cute" Kiara said with a smile.

"Won't they suck our blood?" Eros asked obviously creeped out that they are surrounded by vampires.

"Don't worry about that" Clayden said making hand gestures.

Clayden explained to them that since they're his guests no one will date sick their blood after they expressed their fears.

He started walking and they followed suit. As he was passing through the people a lot of people acknowledged him. They will bow their heads when they see him.

"Why is everyone here treating you with so much respect," Kyra asked confused.

He seemed to be a respectable man here. Or a man with title, that's if vampires have titles.

"Oh forgot to mention, I'm the Vampire Prince, I'm royal," he said with a shrug.

"So now it's just me and Kyra that are the commoners now, not fair" Kiara huffed and crossed her arms across her chest and Clayden just gave off a chuckle.

"We are going to the castle, I'll tell my father about your mission so he'll understand why I brought you all in here, it's an abomination to bring humans to our world" Clayden stated.

"I just hope he understands," Kyra said hopefully.

"He will he's a kind King and he's my father so it will be easy" Clayden promised.

They walked to the Palace. It was big maybe even bigger than the Imperial Palace. They walked in with ease because of Clayden's identity.

The interior designs were beautiful. They were a lot of artworks on the walls. There was one that looked like a war scene but they didn't have time to admire the drawings. The castle had colors like gold, red, white and so much more.

It was beautiful.

Clayden took them straight to the throne room. There the powerful Vampire King sat down on his throne.

"Father" Clayden said and bowed before the King, the rest didn't know what to do but they just followed suit and bowed.

They could feel the powerful and dominating aura surrounding the King.

He was a powerful man no doubt. A man ruling over lots of bloodsuckers.

Creepy!

"Rise" the King ordered "Clayden who are these people?" The King asked.

The King must be wondering what kind of people Clayden had started moving with because of the way they were dressed the two ladies looked really poor only the man looked better.

It was that obvious.

"My friend's father" he stated, "Father can I talk to you for a moment, in private?" Clayden asked and the King nodded and got up from his throne and walked out of the throne room expecting his son to follow suit and he did.

"Father, those people in there, they are humans" Clayden stuttered while presenting the three situations at hand to his father.

Bringing humans to their land was an abomination. And there were huge consequences, no matter who you are.

Vampires are very strict to their laws and it's consequences when broken.

"What? That is treason" The King said shocked.

"Father it's not what you think" Clayden tried to explain.

"Then it's what, er?" The King asked a bit angry. Because he knows the consequences his son will face for the abominable act he just committed. No human knows that they exist. Some think they are extinct and do think they are not real, and it's for the better that humans think this way.

Right now his son broke a law so he cannot determine his fate even though he was the King.

There was a council.

He couldn't make decisions on his own.

Bringing a human into their land is the biggest treason. And the consequence is that the vampire who brought the human and the human he or she brought will be beheaded.

"You see father, they were sent by the gods to go on a mission to retrieve their stolen gems. You know those gems that protect them and they use for many other things. So the god of Fire said they should come to this forest. And I have a feeling that we are to help them. I mean I'm not sure" Clayden explained the whole ordeal to his father.

"But you know the consequences of your actions?" The King asked.

"Yes, father," he said and bowed his head.

"You and those humans will be placed on house arrest and you will go through a trial, and whatever they say is final but I'll still try my best. You have disobeyed a very strict law in our land and I don't know what the people will say, but still, I'll try my best because you are my son and the Crown Prince" The diplomatic King said.

"Thank you father" Clayden appreciated his father.

He knew his father will do his best. Afterall he's the only heir to the throne.

"I'll have a meeting with the high nobles to see what will be done, I can't hide this from them," the King said and walked away from his son to his personal quarters.

Clayden went back and explained to them what had transpired with him and his father.
