Bella got down from the carriage, her eyes filled with awe at the castles surrounding her. She was guided inside; taking deep breaths, she composed herself, her hands holding the box of gifts tightly.
Passing through the halls, Bella's eyes wandered over the stone walls wrapped in gold drapes. Blue crystals glowed warmly, casting soft light on the rich decor and passing servants.
They stopped before a carved wooden door. The guard knocked.
''Come in,'' called a voice from inside.
Bella stepped into the room and was greeted by the sight of a blue-haired man, his features resembling her mother, the face she hadn't seen for years now.
''Child, you look so much like your mother as you grow. Come closer,'' Darven said warmly, motioning her forward.
Bella bowed gracefully, presenting the box with both hands. "Your Highness, I've brought some gifts. I hope they please you."
