Chapter 1 New Life

I'm Max, a 37 year old man. When I was a child, I used to watch pokemon. I always come back from school to watch it, I especially love gen 6 pokemon called froakie!

Froakie was one of my favorite starter pokemon, I have always dream that pokemon was real. I would buy pokemon cards, merchandise, games and sometimes I would go to school to talk about pokemon with my friends.

But that's all in the past, right now I'm just a working when suddenly my phone just virerate.

"Hello?"

" Max! Wanna hang out after you done working? Sam and I were going to go to a restaurant to eat! Maybe even go play some arcade game!"

"Nah~ I'm sorry but after work I have to go somewhere else. Maybe next time?"

"Fine, tell me when you have time. I'll go pick you up."

"Ok, sure Kevin."

I hang up and look at the clock.

'5am, well time to go home'

I told my friend who was sitting in the back room sleeping I tell him to lock the store when he gets home. He nodded so I grabbed my jacket and went home. I want to go with Sam and Kevin but my head hurts.

After a few minutes I got home, I open my door and went inside. My father died when I was a child and mom died just a few days ago. So I lived alone, I closed the door and throw my chothes into the washer while I went to take a shower. Few minutes past, I was in my room watching some memes on reddit. I became sleepy and put my phone on the desk.

'Come on Max! Get over it! Stop being depressed. Mom would not want you to be depressed over her. She wants you to have a girlfriend and a happy life! I must get over it!'

I turned the lights off, I got on my bed and laid there thinking about something that will help me be happy.

'man, I wish I have a pokemon. It would be awesome 😌.'

I closed my eyes and before I knew it, I was asleep.

'Huh? What is this feeling? I can feel grass and bird chirping. Come on, is it day time already!? I haven't even had any sleep!'

I open my eyes only to see trees and the sky. I got up looking around me and I was shocked to see a forest, rocks everywhere and a small river on my right. I got up only to fell behind my back. I looked at my legs, it's a light blue colour and my hands are white colour. My head was like the shape of a frog and my neck have this white bubble thingy.

I got up and try to walk towards the river. I looked at the reflection and I was even more shocked. I was my favorite gen 6 starter pokemon froakie! I couldn't believe it! I was froakie!

I then got very cautious, I was happy that I was froakie but that must've meant that this world that I'm in is the pokemon world. I was happy and cautious at the same time, that means pokemon will appear and maybe even attack him. He's cautiously looked around for any pokemon but there was none.

' All right, this is too suspicious.'

Then suddenly, there is an explosion. The explosion cause the birds to fly away. Max look at the direction of the explosion and heard something is coming he's way. There was a lot of footsteps and weird noises coming, he quickly jump so high to nearest tree and wait for the noise to come. He also was wondering if he's froakie then can he use skills like froakie does? I mean he can jump on a high tree.

He snapped out of his thoughts when he heard something talked.

" RUN!!! Don't let them catch you or you'll be DOOMED!!" a big pokemon said while more pokemon comes into Max's view. It kinda looks like a mightyena.

The pokemons ran across the river and I saw people behind them.

"Catch them before they escape!" Yelled the guy with black chothes and a red R on the middle of the black chothes.

'shit, team rocket's here! I thought it was some trainer wanna catch some pokemon!'

I wanted to run but I saw a crowbar flying above the one of them looking at me.

'well fuck, a fucking crobat! Great!'

I quickly turn around and ran away from them. I just wish the crobat would ignore me and continue to chase the pokemon it was targeting.

He turned around when he thought he was safe and look behind him.

' Good, seems like it saw me but didn't chase me. Probably the one ER of the crobat tell him to continue to chase the mightyena and the other pokemon. He probably didn't have time to tell his owner that I was there.' after a few minutes of looking around, I was hungry.

I saw a bush full of berry and approach it, he didn't want to be poison so he grabbed some of them and places one at some nearby bush. He hid in another bust far away but can still see the berry. After a few minutes, a rattata came and looked around before eating it. Seems like it wasn't poison so he eats it.

Suddenly, behind the rattata was a ekans. It slowly getting closer to the rattata and bite it's head off, it was horrible that blood start pouring out of the body while ekans eats it. Then, Max view was blocked by a white board. On it saids.

I looked at ekans and another white board appear.

'wow, this is so cool. Now that I see ekans stats I may be able to beat him, if anything goes wrong I can just out run it using my speed! But I don't want to battle it yet, I still don't know my body and skill. For now I'll just leave it until I can fully understand my skills.'

He left without making a loud sound so that ekans won't attack him. After a while, he stop at a tree with a hole big enough to fit him. He went inside and call it a day because all of the running his energy was empty. He eats the rest of the berry he carried and sleep hopefully it was all a dream. He didn't want to be in a pokemon world, he's happy that happened but he's not human. He just sleep and think.

' I'll think about it later, today I need to sleep.'
