Chance to be Among the Buried. (3/3.)

"If anything goes wrong or I die, even if it's found not to be his fault. I want him dead anyway." I smiled as Livina nodded her head as she withdrew her blades from Walters neck and then vanished.

"Now what will you do to satisfy my anger, I wonder." Livina spoke in a curious tone as I felt the cold edge of one of her blades on my neck.

"Well I was going to invite you to go fishing, but now I don't think I will. Might change my mind if you remove your blade from my throat." I smiled as I noticed Sivath seemed to find the perfect target as the sound of a dying warhorse followed by the terrifying scream of its rider.

Even one of the guards seemed to be caught off guard as he started to laugh before it turned muffled.

Livina even seemed to sigh a little as she withdrew her blade from my neck.

"So, that's where she was at. You seem to have found a very interesting Demon Centipede. One normally doesn't find one capable of camouflage to this degree. Still, why would she kill him?" Livina asked as she appeared in front of me with a curious look.

I could only point at Walter as I said it was because of what he said that earlier made her angry and she took it out on the one thing she was capable of.

"Sivath's smart, which means she's been around for at least a couple centuries then. Where did you find her? She's gorgeous." Livina spoke with confidence in her voice as she turned to look at Sivath with a smile as she started to faze slightly.

Sivath seemed to sense something as she stopped just as she was about to crush the terrified guard's head as she tried to escape as quickly as she could.

But just as she turned to escape she vanished!

"Oh, she only has one color, but the purple is so vibrant. She must have focused on just one of her Five Poisons. Still to reach this level of strength by herself." Livina spoke with a wide smile on her face as she continued to examine Sivath.

I could only laugh to myself as I seemed to keep running into monsters as of late. Sure I had a small break with the bandits, but this was starting to get on my nerves a little.

But just as I was about to say something I felt my vision start to fade as I stumbled forward only to catch myself, which didn't seem to do anything as I slumped forward as I felt my strength leave me.

"Oh, you were able to catch yourself slightly, then that means that your chance of surviving the Trail of Demons by at least 0.1 percent. Which means that there is a good chance that you won't die."

Livina's voice was clear as I started to lose consciousness but just as my consciousness faded it snapped back! Before, a pain I never felt before started to spread across my entire body.

It felt as if ants, centipedes, maggots, and flesh eating bugs were slowly gnawing and eating me alive!

I watched as they slowly started eating me alive and I felt it all!

From them eating my skin, nerves, muscles, organs, and my bones! I felt it all, everything! Even after they ate my nerves for the fifth time, I could still feel it!

No matter how many times it happened I felt them eating me. I stopped having the thought that I would get used to it by the two-hundredth time I was eaten.

There was one thing that changed over time as only insects similar to Sivath started to be the only thing that was continuously eating me. There seemed to be an intense look of happiness in her compound eyes.

I had a hard time trying to discern whether the happiness was from how good I must have tasted to whether it was just her natural instinct to eat.

And the worst thing was the powerlessness I felt as I couldn't do anything to stop it from happening as it looked as things were getting worse.

Nothing, not a damn thing.

I started losing count after it reached five-hundred. Then I started to lose my mind after what felt like I felt a week had passed. Then I found it again having tea next to a tree.

I even found that it was talking to what I'm pretty sure was my half a brain cell. Which made me believe I never found my sanity.Other images or shadows started to appear around as it looked like they nodded their head in agreement.

They even tried to help me find my sanity. Did the best I could to describe it and when I did they stopped, as they all turned to look at me. As I noticed two very familiar bodies as they looked when I saw them.

That's when I noticed why some of them looked familiar, as they were the two sons of Big Red. That's when I'm pretty sure I really lost my mind as I started to watch what looked to be their last day before I took them.

Over and over and over again.

Felt their pain, fear, anger, joy, sadness, hatred, and excitement. Heard Second Brother proclaim his dream of taking over the group and making it better. Even First Brother explaining how he got the long scar on his face.

Learned a lot about the Red Boar Bandits from their perspective. They both had a busy day before they ran into me.

Even when I saw myself kill the two brothers I focused more on my look or expression but the more I studied the more I hated myself as I started to question why my first thought or instinct was to kill them.

But after taking away the emotions, I started to look at it in a logical manner and I started to understand more and more as I started to apply this Otherworlds logic and reasoning.

I felt something click after what felt like months had passed.

"I just need to accept that there is a part of me that always wanted to do that. Logic and Reason out the door. Just down to simply ``I'm stronger than you, such a simple yet complicated rule."

After my final words left my lips I noticed that the sky started to crumble! I even noticed that I was starting to crumble as well, but I didn't panic.

I just smiled as I continued to watch myself crumble. Could hear a few familiar voices as both the sky and myself continued to crumble away to dust. The only thing that I found odd was that I noticed that I wasn't alone as multiple gray shadows surrounded me.

"Don't worry, when I have the proper strength and power I'll make sure to honor those that I have buried. Whether it's for rest, sleep, or even if their desire was battle."

I spoke in a serious tone as the multiple gray shadows nodded their heads as they rushed towards me just as the sky crumbled away as the voice of Ulrich, Walter, and Livina seemed to be arguing over something.

I even felt Sivath laying on top of me giving out an angry hiss that seemed to be mixed with human speech!

But just as I was about to say something another familiar sound popped in my head.
