: A new start

For Joseph this was a strange experience, the pain that he felt moments ago seemed to disappear as he felt lightness all over his body.

As he slowly opened his hate filled eyes, he was startled as he jumped back to retreat.

What scared Joseph was a pitch black silhouette that looked him in the eye, it gave Joseph chills as he retreated quickly.As Joseph was looking at He silhouette, it spoke to him in a coarse voice

"JoSePh, I hAVe BeEN WaITInG FoR YOu"

"What are you?"

"I aM ThAT WhIcH HuMAnS cAlL DEATH"

As he heard what the strange shadow said, Joseph calmed down somewhat and spoke while full of unwillingness:

"That Doesn't matter, bring me BACK I Have to take REVENGE,I cannot simply DIE"

As he said those words,Joseph roared lightly in an inhuman manner.

Looking at the human in front of him ,'DEATH' walked until it was only 2 meters apart from Joseph and spoke:

"YoU ArE WeAk, YoU CaNnOT TaKe ReVeNgE nOw"

"THAT Doesn't MATTER, I will do EVERYTHING to KILL that bastard."

"YoUr WiLl iS AdMiRaBlE, HoWeVeR YoU Do NoT HaVe A ChOiCe."

Hearing Death's words, Joseph was not truly convinced as he looked at 'Death' suspiciously.

He finally somewhat calmed down as he started pondering on what he should choose to keep when going to another world.

Maybe, I could have an obvious advantage in such a case, however if I were to be born into a world where technology was much more advanced than on Earth than it can be said that I simply wasted this chance.>

Joseph was momentarily stunned, he never thought that the things he did while living would help him in afterlife.

Joseph closed his eyes as he finally decided on his choice.

"Death, I want to be reborn into a world with cultivation and all the likes,is it possible?"

Hearing 'Death' agree to his proposal, Joseph was relieved. Truthfully he always envied those characters from Chinese novels, they always got what they wanted without trying too hard.

However now that he had a choice, Joseph chose himself to be born in such a world, as for his wish he also figured something out that will surely make him an overpowered main character.

Remembering what his wish was, Joseph couldn't help but smirk lightly, but then went back to his usual aloof demeanor, he was a grown adult after all, he had forgotten about it for a moment.

"Dear 'Death', I was wondering if you would be so kind as to grant my wish?

"I want to take with me to that very same wuxia world we previously agreed upon, a System, a gaming system, that kind of AI you commonly see in our games"

Finally hearing Josephs last wish, 'Death' couldn't help but let out a hollow sigh and say:

"PrEDicTaBLe, Be IT As YoU WiSh"

'Death's 'words barely reached Joseph's ears as he trembled hearing it's hoarse voice, when suddenly everything in Joseph's vision turned white and then a myriad of colors passed by as if he were traveling between the many dimensions of the universe.

The everchanging colors finally stopped as Joseph's vision once again turned black, his body felt warm and cozy, but he wasn't concerned of this matter, after all right now he's reincarnating to another world, something many people on Earth could only dream of.

As this thought passed his mind, Joseph's face instantly turned sour as he remembered something

<Won't people lose their memories when rebirthing if they did not somehow bypass the rebirthing system?>

Joseph was momentarily scared, it was as if he was a thirsty traveler in a desert, and he was finally given a bottle of water, and just as he was about to take it, it turned out it was poisoned.

Only Joseph could understand his conflicting thoughts at that moment,the pain he felt now was hundreds of times more painful than when he was shot.

Aster a while, Joseph felt himself grow tired of thinking as he decided to just go with the flow,if he really were to lose his memories, then so be it.

As Joseph finally decided on this point he seemingly fell asleep.

After a while Joseph woke up, noticing that he still remembered his former life, he was slightly overjoyed as he was pretty sure he has already been reborn.

He judged that right now he was in some woman's womb, his mother.

Having nothing else to do, Joseph started thinking of his former life, he remembered his school years, the times when he worked hard for the business,the sleepless days in prison,and finally the day of his death.

As he was remembering everything, he decided to try and experiment with that system death gave him.
