It didn't show it's identity but his words made it seem like that the forest itself was speaking.

"Perhaps it'll be better if I wipe the evil myself. Allow me , the descendant of light to do the deed just like how , centuries ago my ancestor , the great hero of time CHROMUS SINTHAR slayed the god of evil RYANA VAGUS."

Two of them went in along with the baby , as if sucked in by that light and the others awaited their death...

He was pure light as if he had never sinned , he was the symbol of perhaps everything positive but him revealing himself only meant death for those against him...
