Princess vs. Zombies 13

Ruby slashed her blade towards Quin. Slithers of sparks evaded both turfs and the two retreated again. Quin's claws brandished themselves against each other before striking Ruby.

Long, silver-colored talons marked their prey and lowered down. Quin's hands retracted lightly in a pawing grip. One wrong move and Ruby would've been minced meat.

Ruby raised her sword again and watched it collide head-on with the claws. She gritted her teeth and a small gasp escaped her mouth. It was nearly overwhelming the power the zombies' possessed, especially Quin's.

The collision produced a large wind, blowing both their hair back. Lightning ignited behind them and they jumped back.

Each side prodded the other with watchful gazes, inching back and forth. It was a battle of who would last the longest. Both of them were nearly equal in strength.

'I can't lose,' Ruby whispered in her mind. Her eyes glanced at the girl laying on the ground, unmoving. 'I have to hurry.'
