Chapter 6 A good hostess

Olivia pulled the knob of the rest room, she turned on the fucet, sprinkling little water on her face. She tried to take in the piece of information. Delilah was his sister but she doesn't have green hairs. She heard that the Green families hair were all green. The war. The war was going to start up in two years to come, was she going to live or die. She have to unlock her abilities. She applied a gloss to her lips before stepping out. She headed to the training room. Her eye sight fell at what was written above the door. Training room B. She walked in. Training room B was a room meant for training of abilities.

'' Lady Olivia --" A brown haired lean man in front of the training room rushed to her side.

" Thanks I will only be meditating no helps. " She ended up blurting.

" At least let me lead you to a place you will like to stay, a serene place lady Olivia." He bowed deeply before leading her.

Olivia sat on the cold floor with her legs crossed. Her hands on her thigh and her eyes closed. She tried to steady her breathing and mind. it would only work that way.

It has been two hours of Olivia staying like that, she finally stood up, deciding to come back the following day. Luna came to her sight seeing her walk out of the training room.

" Lady Olivia how was the training. " She asked concerned.

" I will be coming back tomorrow, still no improvement."

" Are you heading outside. " Luna asked, wide eyes. " Shouldn't you join eldest master George at the room with the Duke. He would be really angry. " She shook her head.

" I was surely giving them some space, they seem to be discussing on some trivial matters about the land. My novel is in my room get it for me outside I ain't done. " Olivia turned away. She stopped walking sighing deeply before walking into the room that George and the duke was which will lead to the way outside the manor.

She tried to walk as fast as she could to not be noticed. Just as she sat outside the manor, she noticed the Duke standing not to far from where she sat. He was facing his back at her with his hands at his back. Cursing her luck she stood up to leave and at that moment he looked her way. 'Oh no'. In as much as she didn't like to be married to the magistrate, she didn't like anyone who was related to her past where she was bullied and who watched her being bullied.

She offered a smile. " Good afternoon Duke Dylan. " He walked towards her. She made sure to bow in courtesy.

" Olivia. " Olivia lifted her eyes to look at the man. Did he just call her so informally. A defined jawline, chiseled nose. Rare eye color. Lush dark green hair left as a mane at the sides with broad shoulders. He was built, she could tell. His good looks makes every single soul at the entertainment industry fall at his mere glance talk less of a conversation. " I didn't know you were still alive."

" What!?" Olivia gave a ridiculous look on her face.

" The monsters." He said. Olivia immediately understood that, he had thought that she must have died besides she was very weak then.

" I got married. "

" You are the fifth of the magistrate. What is your ability Miss Lockwood. "

" I haven't any. I am still at the verge of unlocking it. Am sure I will be able to do that before the war. "

" Mind joining me on a walk now you are outside. "

" Where is George? " She asked puzzled that he was left here alone.

" I asked for a space. " Olivia had to look up, to check if he said that or she misheard.

" Am sorry for occupying your space Duke Dylan, I will be heading back. " Just when she was about to leave, he held her hand to stop her, making her eyes as wide as a volley ball pitch. That instant Luna appeared on her sight with a book. Schooling her expression she turned around. " I don't know why you should hold my hand. " He quickly removed his hand. She was good until now that he didn't hold the injured one.

He cleared his throat. " I was going to ask for a walk with you.

She tilted her face to Luna standing at the side, she took the book from Luna. " Greetings Duke Dylan. " Luna bowed deeply.

" I will like to spend my other times inside the manor." She walked to his side as they walked side by side.

" I didn't know Delilah was your sister. "

" She is. "

" What about green hairs. "

" My father had two wives, his second wife had a thicker gene. " He grinned.

" Oh my. " She couldn't think of how impudent it must have felt for the Green family. The Lineage were all green haired, because they also have thicker blood. She could only imagine how strong the woman gene is.

" Are you surprised there is a gene more stronger than the Greens. " Olivia nodded. She opened her historical novel to read.

" What are you reading. "

" A novel. " Olivia said not looking up but on the book.

" What novel? "

" Back days in Rapture. A historical genre."

" Sounds interesting, didn't know you enjoyed prose. "

" Neither do I know you could speak to a person. " She muttered.

" What did you say. "

" Nothing. " Olivia kept looking at the book. Moving her hands on the pages.

" I suggest you stop reading under the sun. Where are your glasses. "

" Glasses???" She ended up having a ridiculous expression of puzzle. " What! " How can she forget the glasses she wore back then in the theater. " I removed them, wanted to feel my nose for a while. "

" Really or do you mean to say, they were never medicated. " He said catching up to her lies. Olivia sneezed twice, Dylan offered her a handkerchief which she wholeheartedly took.

'' Thanks, I never wore the glasses for no reason. " She said curtly. " Do you also enjoy literature."

Dylan pursed his lips as if in contemplation. " Maybe I do. We shouldn't go further and should probably go back. " Olivia and the Duke heartedly headed back to the manor.

She accompanied the Duke to George on seeing him seated at the couch with his leg folded, going through a parchment. One could think that George Lockwood wasn't aware of their presence but he was a hundred percent.

" Mr. Lockwood! " Duke Dylan made his appearance known to the man who smiled widely, his eyes fell on his fifth wife standing beside him.

" Did you join the Duke on a walk. " He asked Olivia but the Duke answered instead.

'' Lady Olivia here is a good hostess, I will like her to show me the rest of the manor later. " He said.

" Oh why not, she will surely. I have been wanting to have your attention for lunch. " They all proceeded to the long dinning table that could fit up-to twenty-four people. The sons and daughters of George also joined the lunch including his wives. He has up-to twelve children
