"Mountain Goat Spirit?" Zane looked at the innkeeper in confusion.
The innkeeper looked at him and sighed. "Yes, they say the mountain is being haunted by a Mountain Goat Spirit. He looks like a human but he has a head of a mountain goat."
He paused. "Didn't you hear a scream from the mountain just now? That was the work of the spirit!"
Zane thought back to the animal's scream he had just heard while he was looking at the mountain. 'Now that I think about it, it really did sound like a mountain goat's scream...'
"So I suggest you don't go to the Vauxlet Peak right now!" The innkeeper sighed.
"It's alright." Zane shook his head. "Where's my room?"
The innkeeper looked at Zane in surprise. He had told him about the spirit but he still wanted to climb the mountain. "Follow me." He got up from his seat and led Zane towards his room. "I'll make dinner ready for you right away. Why don't you freshen up and come down."
