Attacked by the Saint

The Saint finally reached the city of Arcturus after traveling for a whole day. He didn't even stop at night like he usually did, and had even traveled all morning. Ever since he had fallen into lunacy, he had lost all reason and even his ability to think.

The only thing on his mind was rage and destruction. That was why he killed and destroyed anyone and anything he saw. But strangely, he didn't feel like stopping anywhere to kill this time. Something was telling him to go straight towards the city.

He looked down upon the city from the sky and trembled in excitement. He saw the people and knights, walking on the streets like ants. As he had held back his desire to kill for a whole day, he didn't want to end things with a single move, but instead, take his time.

He could only think about the pleasure he was going to get while killing, so he moved towards the city to enter it. But he was stopped by a barrier. He put his palm on top of the barrier and instinctively knew how strong the barrier was.

He frowned with his ugly deformed face and raised his hand, clenching it into a fist. His fist started glowing in a red light, and he struck the barrier as hard as he could.

BAM

The barrier broke down into tiny spheres in one punch, and the spheres moved like lightning towards the Saint. The half-auburn and half-pink hair coming out from his head, which looked like thin tendrils, moved with precision and blocked all of the spheres attacking him.

While his hair tendrils blocked the attacks, he moved forward into the city and raised both of his hands. Cracks started appearing on the ground, out of which, the people he had killed until now came out in the form of hideous fire monsters.

"HAHAHA" The Saint cackled with ecstasy while he watched the monsters he summoned slaughter the people of Arcturus.

---

"Wow~" Avery Gray smiled when he saw the magma giants as he was nearing Arcturus. He was impressed by the giants who were slightly bigger than the walls of Arcturus.

"Let's see if the Saint did his job properly then..." He stopped his horse in front of the gate of Arcturus and got off casually. Like taking a stroll in the park, he entered the city and looked around.

"Haha.. They really did some damage.." He looked around the destroyed low-level with a smile. Feeling a giant turning towards him, he quickly grabbed his whistle and blew it. The giant turning towards him suddenly stopped and went back to destroying the city.

"Now..." He looked around. "Surely they would evacuate the people to the church right.." He began walking towards the mid-level whistling a melody, ignoring the destruction the giants were causing.

---

The sun was already starting to hang low when Zane, Myron and the Grandmaster neared Arcturus.

Riding as fast as they could, they could finally see the walls of Arcturus in the horizon.

"No!" The Grandmaster widened his eyes when he saw the towering figures, higher than their walls, walking around the city.

Panic on his face, he stood up on the moving horse and closed his eyes. Hundreds of whiteish violet stars appeared around him and he leaped off the horse. A star floating on his back shot off, and the Grandmaster grabbed the streak of violet light and flew off towards the city.

Zane looked at the sight with shock in his eyes. "What a unique way of flying... Can't he fly like the Saint?" He pointed at the floating figure above the city.

"Tch.." Myron clicked his tongue, annoyed by Zane's question. Their city was getting destroyed in front of their eyes and he was asking stupid questions. "What the fuck is your problem?" He spat out. Zane just shut his mouth and focused on riding the horse.

The two of them reached the gates of Arcturus and got off their horses. While Zane was helping Slem down from his horse, Myron looked around and got surprised when he saw another horse at the gate.

"Someone was here before us.." Myron looked at Zane, but Zane just stared back at him in confusion. "Haah.." Shaking his head, Myron entered the city with Zane and Slem following him.

While they reached the city, the Grandmaster had already killed two of the giants.

He was at a Transcended Seeker and could easily overpower Evolved Beasts, who were equal to Intermediate Seekers. Also, the pressure exerted by the magma giants didn't work on the Grandmaster due to the difference of their core's levels.

Myron and Zane looked at the Grandmaster, who flew towards the third magma giant with the help of his shooting stars. With his right hand grabbing a streak of shooting star, he reached the face of the magma giant and moved his left hand. The stars floating behind him converged and divided into two streaks of lights, heading towards each of the giant's eyes.

BOOM

Both of the eye core of the giant exploded and the giant came crashing down. With a loud thud, the corpse of the giant crashed down on the ground on top of some destroyed buildings.

Myron wanted to go and help the Grandmaster, but he knew he alone could not take on the giants, and he would only be a burden to the Grandmaster. So he just watched the Grandmaster take down the giant quietly.

As for Zane, he looked around the ruined city with worry on his face. 'Val.... Are you okay?'

The Grandmaster glanced at the corpse of the giant he just killed before turning towards another giant in the distance. He was about to move towards the giant but he widened his eyes and moved his arms to block quickly.

*BAM*

He was struck by the Saint and sent flying backwards like a meteor. He crashed down on the ground hard, but he quickly picked himself up and assumed a defensive stance. The Saint came flying towards him again and struck him with his fists. The Grandmaster tried his best to block his attacks, but he couldn't keep up and the Saint struck his stomach.

*Cough*

He spat out a mouthful of blood as he went flying back once again, only to crash into a building. The Saint slowly approached the building he had crashed into.
