Chapter 008: Spreading Legs

Upon hearing the proposition, Liu Xinyu didn't instantly agree. He was currently the host of the main system, a fact that Lin Huixin was blissfully unaware of. And it was crucial for him that she remains in the dark. Yet, he was well-informed about Lin Huixin's current state.

Under such circumstances, Liu Xinyu needed to decipher Lin Huixin's intentions for every move she made. If she ever caught a whiff that all the tasks were being assigned by him, it could lead to a catastrophic scenario best described as 'both the fish and the net would be destroyed.' Rapid thoughts raced through Liu Xinyu's mind, and he could only deduce three motives behind Lin Huixin's action: to accomplish tasks more effectively, to probe his connection with system and to enhance their rapport. He couldn't hesitate for too long, so Liu Xinyu put on a shocked and incredulous expression and said, "C… Chairman Lin! I'm willing!"

Lin Huixin gifted him a light smile and gently reminded him, "Being a personal assistant is not that simple. I'll give you some materials to look at first. If you think you're capable, then you can agree to my request."

Ever the eager beaver, Liu Xinyu quickly chimed in, "I can handle it for sure!"

Lin Huixin smiled and stood up, saying, "Sit on the sofa for a moment. I'll bring you the materials."

"Alright, Chairman Lin!" Liu Xinyu nodded but remained rooted to the spot, standing nervously and excitedly, clenching his fists tightly.

Lin Huixin observed Liu Xinyu's every move. At this moment, she had gained a bit more trust in Liu Xinyu's ordinary persona. Luckily, Liu Xinyu was a born actor. Otherwise, if he had performed even slightly worse, he would probably have to face Lin Huixin's various methods and retaliations.

Donning a professional outfit with a pair of loose suit trousers and black high heels that elevated her stature to over 1.7 meters, Lin Huixin could easily turn heads among many southern women. She turned and walked towards the room inside the office. It was the first time Liu Xinyu had seen Lin Huixin's figure from behind. After a while, the door opened again. Liu Xinyu looked up and saw Lin Huixin had changed her outfit. She wore a long-sleeved shirt with lace patterns at the chest and a black miniskirt on the lower half of her body, just enough to cover her thighs.

This appearance was completely different from her previous attire, exuding a sexy and alluring aura of a mature woman.

Liu Xinyu was a little stunned.

Lin Huixin held some documents in her hand and noticed Liu Xinyu staring at her blankly. She realized that she had just changed clothes inside and deliberately wore a miniskirt without safety shorts. Although it was done in order to proceed with the upcoming tasks, she still felt a pang of embarrassment in her heart.

Unintentionally exposing one's underwear for others to see and intentionally exposing it to attract attention were two completely different matters. She found it difficult to accept such a situation.

Lin Huixin's face showed a barely noticeable blush as she explained, "Take a look at the requirements first and see if you're capable. In the afternoon, I have to meet someone. If you can handle it, accompany me."

"Of course, Chairman Lin." Liu Xinyu nodded hurriedly, taking the documents from Lin Huixin's hands.

"Sit over there," Lin Huixin gestured towards the guest sofa.

Liu Xinyu obediently went to sit on the sofa, only sitting on half of it. This way, he could quickly stand up if needed. Typically, this kind of sitting posture was adopted by subordinates in front of superiors or ordinary people when facing those in higher positions, displaying a formal and respectful demeanour.

He picked up the documents and began to read them slowly.

A personal assistant, similar to a private secretary, didn't require much specialization. The main focus was being readily available for the boss's needs at any time. Liu Xinyu didn't pay much attention to the documents; instead, he kept his eyes on Lin Huixin sitting opposite him.

Lin Huixin was making tea with an expressionless face, but her eyes sparkled, indicating she was thinking about something. Her legs were pressed together, placed to the side.

At this moment, both of them were lost in their thoughts. Liu Xinyu wondered how Lin Huixin would show him her underwear, and he had no idea what colour underwear the high and mighty Lin Huixin would wear. Would it be red, purple, black, or some other colour?

On the other hand, Lin Huixin was thinking about how she could casually let Liu Xinyu catch a glimpse of her underwear without appearing intentional. She also had to act as if she didn't know he saw it.

After a long silence, Lin Huixin had already come up with a plan. Making the chairman of a listed company, a billionaire boss, do such things was really asking too much. It was even more difficult than securing a billion-dollar contract.

Liu Huixin was about to make her move when she noticed Liu Xinyu completely engrossed in reading the documents. She couldn't help feeling a bit speechless. "No problem, take your time. No rush," Lin Huixin smiled lightly, using one hand to pick up her own cup. As the cup left the table, whether it was because Lin Huixin didn't hold it firmly or for some other reason, the cup suddenly fell to the ground, spilling hot tea all over the floor.

"Chairman Lin, are you alright?" Liu Xinyu stood up and rushed to help.

"I'm fine, I can handle it myself. You sit!" Lin Huixin didn't scream or shout like a little girl. She calmly waved her hand, then bent down to pick up the cup.

As she bent down, her legs naturally spread apart, and the angle at which her legs opened happened to face Liu Xinyu.

Liu Xinyu was immediately captivated by the sight between Lin Huixin's legs. However, he didn't stare wide-eyed but kept his head down, pretending to read the documents while stealing glances.

Although Lin Huixin was busy picking up the cup, she continued to secretly observe Liu Xinyu's actions. Seeing him trying to steal glimpses of her deliberately exposed skirt like a thief but not daring to look directly, she felt a difficult-to-explain sense of embarrassment and awkwardness.

"What kind of rogue system is this? What kind of task is this?"
