Sylvania was stunned.
The harmless little girl suddenly became angry and grabbed her neck, then flung her in a different space.
"Where am I?" Sylvania could feel her heartbeat become quicker. She was in a completely white space. The ground was made up of some kind of smooth hard substance. There was no sun or any light source, yet it was bright as daytime. The place was silent, eerily silent. She couldn't see the end of this place even with her eyesight.
She felt she lost connection with the elements of the world and her Divinity.
'Impossible, a new realm that's free from the influence of world laws? When did such an anomalous thing come into existence?'
But her thinking was cut short as the little girl suddenly appeared in front of her.
Sylvania immediately dashed back a few hundred meters. Even though she couldn't find any malice directed towards herself, she knew the little girl was definitely 'angry'.
However, Sylvania's intuition was useless in front of Stella.
[Absolute Stealth] hid everything she wanted to, even intents.
"Where did you bring me, little girl? Who are you??" Sylvania asked with an aggressive tone.
"I'm Stella." She tilted her head slightly as she pouted. "Do you want me to break your bones too? I thought I'll just beat you up awhile and then we'll go back together. But calling me a little girl again.... I think I need to revise that decision."
Even though Sylvania was putting up a brave front, she was shaken on the inside. She realized couldn't get a read on this little girl at all. She felt no bloodlust, no malice towards her. She couldn't even tell if she was lying. 'Is she really going to beat me up just for calling her little? Is she insecure about her height?'
"What are you talking about? Calm down. I'm sorry that I called you short. It's not worth it to fight over such simple things." Sylvania quickly apologized. But this was quite odd indeed. She never apologized to anyone in her life before. But at this moment, she felt that if she didn't apologize, she would meet an unfortunate end.
"Good, I guess I won't break all of your bones but I'll still have to beat you up for calling me a little girl. Don't worry, I'll be 'gentle'. I don't want to kill you after all."
Stella moved and immediately appeared in front of Sylvania. She didn't even teleport.
In truth, Stella didn't know the limits of her speed and strength, and possibly would never know.
Sylvania widened her eyes in surprise as the little girl instantaneously appeared in front of her. She couldn't even see or react. The girl gave a simple and frail-looking punch on her chest.
.
.
Crack-Boom!
Sylvania could feel her ribcage getting broken as she was blasted away from that weak-looking punch.
The force was strong enough to throw her a few hundred kilometers away. She crashed on the hard white pavement and kept ragdolling away like a corpse. She vomited blood as she finally stopped in her tracks.
Sylvania weakly stood up. She had the pride of the War Goddess, and she couldn't fall before she completed her oath to take revenge on the Divine realm, no matter who stood in her way.
But the little anomaly that injured her to this extent with a single punch, she didn't know if she could face her even with all of her power.
'What kind of existence is she? She didn't use any techniques, nor did she hit my weak spots or use any Divine powers. She injured me to this extent with pure brute force.'
Sylvania felt like a frail toothpick in front of that punch.
She knew nobody in the Divine realm would be able to injure her to this extent with just a single strike. Even though she was currently weaker in terms of physical strength.
Sylvania looked in front of her to search for the little girl, but she found no one.
"Looking for me?" A sweet little voice entered her ears. The voice was close to her, too close.
Sylvania slowly turned around to see the little girl sitting behind her.
She immediately slashed with her sword down on her.
But this time, the little girl simply caught the sword between her fingers. Then she pinched it and the sword cracked and broke into pieces.
Sylvania could feel her arms shake as she saw the sword crumble down into pieces.
'That was a Pseudo-Divine sword and the little girl broke it with two of her fingers....' Sylvania could feel her heart skip a beat as she thought, 'She's simply toying with me.'
But the little girl didn't attack her. Instead, she looked at her injuries and tilted her head, " I punched you with one-fourth amount of strength you have. So how did you get injured to this extent? You should have a highly resilient body, no?" She waved her hand as the injury on Sylvania instantly vanished.
Stella was indeed a bit puzzled. 'Even if I consider my body's hardness, I shouldn't be able to cause this much injury while limiting my strength to one-fourth of the target.'
Looking at the little girl who didn't attack, but healed her injuries instead, Sylvania calmed down a bit.
'That's right, she did say she wouldn't kill me. But even her casual punch was too lethal for me. Two more of them, and I would be dead. So, did she accidentally injure me this much?'
"It's because I'm isolated from the world's elements and laws. And.... I can't feel my Divinity either. That's why I'm a bit weaker here. Hey, litt... Stella, I'm sorry that I called you short. But you shouldn't bully others so much because of it, right?" Sylvania said in a low voice.
Stella scratched her head as she finally found the last piece of the puzzle. "Aha, so that's the reason. According to my calculation, you're 37% weaker than expected. My apologies, that was an oversight on my part. I'll give access to your world's laws, elements, and divinity. So, shall we try again?"
She slowly stood up and removed her Wander of White-Chalk robe then stored it away.
Sylvania was stunned. She had never seen such peculiar clothing before. Looking at the T-shirt, fully sleeved sweater, and the skirt that barely reached her knees, she was quite puzzled. 'What kind of clothing is this? Why bother wearing warm clothes if your legs are not covered too?'
But Stella didn't give her any chance to ask anything further as she connected the sub-dimension to Sylvania's world, then threw a punch at her.
Sylvania could barely react to defend herself as the punch landed on her.
.
.
Boom!
She could feel all the bones in her body rattle as her arms and ribcages cracked yet again, but not to a serious extent. She was blown away about a hundred and fifty kilometers.
"Ugh. How is she so strong? She's toying with me. Who's the child here?" Sylvania slowly got up from the ground as she brought out another sword from her spatial bag.
Stella allowed the pitiful Sylvania to access the spatial bag, as she could see Sylvania was suffering miserably without a weapon.
Her fight with Sylvania was the first proper battle after she came to this world. And so she finally got a chance to calculate how much strength she should use.
Sylvania activated her Divinity as she charged at Stella. She realized that Stella did not want to gravely injure or kill her at all, instead, Stella wanted to beat her up for calling her little.
This was the most frustrating and humiliating moment of Sylvania's life.
A little girl was beating her up, the Goddess of War. And the only offense was calling her short.
Sylvania gritted her teeth as she slashed at Stella.
But Stella simply tilted her body to avoid it.
Sylvania kept slashing as nothing but two faint silhouettes remained due to their speed but none of the attacks connected.
Stella kept dodging at a leisurely pace as she encouraged her, "Come on, you're four times stronger than me. How are you losing out like this? I believe in you, big sister. You can definitely hit me."
Stella truly wasn't cheating. She kept her strength limited to an EP value of a million. But her perception and computation ability were simply too terrifying.
[Primo##### Sense] gave her the data, and [Nihility Computation] would process and calculate without error.
So, she could dodge even if the enemy was four times 'stronger' than her.
As Stella dodged more and more, a notice entered her consciousness.
[Composite ability <Precognition> has been formed from the combination of <Gaze of ######>, <Undeniable Authority>, <Primo##### Sense>, <Time Authority>, and <Nihility Computation>]
[Precognition: Predict actions of any being or object. Can predict all actions the targets will initiate with absolute accuracy and cannot be misguided by any means. How further into the future you can predict depends on the mastery of <Time Authority>]
As soon as this ability formed, Stella could feel Sylvania slow down to a snail's face. Her each possible move was predicted without fail. Her top-notch sword skill felt too predictable and unimpressive. Stella could predict about five seconds into the future with her current mastery over <Time Authority>.
Sylvania felt this change too. From her perspective, Stella became slower, yet more elusive. Her every move was predicted and countered. She felt frustrated and bitter. This little girl got more and more relaxed with each passing moment despite her onslaught of slashes that would still strike fear in the Gods of the Divine realm.
'Am I this weak? I can't even land a hit on her.'
Sylvania's strike became more and more ferocious but she couldn't even touch her once.
Stella realized Sylvania was getting depressed. So she consoled her, "Don't be sad. You're very powerful, one of the most powerful people in the entire world I would say. But, I'm just bullying you a bit, okay?"
Sylvania's expression became a deadpan one as she activated her Divinity of the War Goddess to increase her strength temporarily.
"Aiya! You're sacrificing a part of your soul to fight me? That's no good. I'll have to spend 2% more effort to fix you now. You're behaving like a bad girl. It was supposed to be a friendly spar. Unfortunately, I'll have to give you a severe beating for this." Stella broke into a grin as she disappeared from Sylvania's view.
After gaining the Divinity of the War Goddess, Sylvania temporarily gained her former powers. Currently, she was almost four times stronger than her previous self as her EP value went past 15 million. Her body was glowing with Divine radiance and emitted a terrifying aura.
However, it was all useless.
A kick landed on Sylvania's 'Holy' butt as she got smashed onto the ground and rag-dolled a few hundred kilometers away. But she already saw Stella waiting for her in the direction she was heading to.
Most of her bones were broken and her flesh was torn in many areas as golden blood flowed endlessly from her injuries. She realized her body wasn't healing. Even Divine powers failed to repair the damage. She couldn't even get up from the ground.
However, she wasn't in grave danger as she felt the life force in her body was still fine mysteriously.
"Impossible. This can't be. How...how are you this powerful? You... didn't even use any Divine powers. Who are you?"
Sylvania felt truly lost. She couldn't even fathom how powerful this little girl in front of her was. Nobody in the Divine realm was stronger than her in her current state. They had to gang up on her in an ambush to kill her in the Divine realm. Almost every one of them joined in that onslaught, just to finish her off.
But this little girl swatted her away like a fly.
She came close and lowered her body down to meet Sylvania's gaze and asked in a sweet voice, "Hungry for more? Sacrificing your soul to fight an adversary that you'll never defeat.... Is it worth it? Am I worth missing the only chance to defeat your sworn enemies?"
Sylvania looked at the little girl and sighed. She felt no bloodlust from her, yet she was half a step on the death's door. She realized it was the girl that was maintaining her lifeforce so she wouldn't die from her injury.
The little girl wasn't in a hurry to get her answer as she created a comfy chair from motes of light and then sat down on it.
Looking at the girl's actions, Sylvania felt dazed.
She closed her eyes and smiled. 'Power of Creation? I see....'
She no longer felt bitter in her heart. Sylvania knew that the little girl was an existence that she would never understand nor compare to. She felt it was already fortunate enough that Stella didn't destroy this entire world for the offense she had committed, let alone spare her with a few light smacks.
Sylvania slowly opened her eyes as she looked at the little girl.
"I'm sorry. I apologize for the grave offenses that I have committed. Thank you for not punishing the world for my crimes."
"Now that wasn't so hard, was it? I always knew you were a nice big sister." Stella smiled and slightly waved her hand as she healed Sylvania and teleported her to another chair she had just created in front of her.
Sylvania was stunned as she teleported in front of Stella. She observed her condition to see that both her body and soul were completely healed. But she quickly composed herself. "Thank you for showing me mercy, the great one. How can I address you?"
"What's up with this 'great one' stuff? I don't like that. You're older than me, so naturally, you can call me by my name. And don't be nervous, I'm not going to do anything. I hope we can be good friends." Stella gave her a reassuring smile.
"Thank...thank you. I'm sorry for saying you're small. But if I'm older than you, then your age is...." Sylvania trailed off.
"Sigh. Yes. You should be 19 years old in this life, I'm much younger. But not so young that I will tolerate someone calling me a child, or short for that matter." Stella explained.
"I see. Then your body has stopped growing? That's why you're conscious about your height?" Sylvania finally understood her reason for anger.
"No, I'm growing." Stella grumbled as she looked at Sylvania's voluptuous body.
Sylvania chuckled, "I understand. I'm sorry for disrespecting you."
"It's alright. Here, want to eat? You really like sweets after all." Stella gave her some pastry she had ransacked before. "You're here for the disappearance of the spy, correct? You see, I went to his store to eat some sweets. But after eating, I realized I don't have any money. So I just threw him in another dimension to avoid trouble. Don't worry about him dying or anything, I froze the time flow of that dimension too. I'll let him go now that the matter cleared out." Stella smiled.
Sylvania felt a bit melancholic as she received the sweets from Stella. She couldn't refuse the sweets even if she tried, nor did she want to, especially from the being that sat in front of her.
Sylvania shook away her melancholic mood as she started eating, but when she heard Stella's explanation, her mouth started twitching. "I...I see. It's alright. Again, thank you for your magnanimity."
"Hmm." Stella happily hummed to the tune of a music.
Looking at Stella, Sylvania felt a bit odd, then shook her head. 'Her thought process is impossible for me to understand.'
"Um... Stella?" Sylvania asked quietly.
"Yes?" Stella replied with her eyes closed.
"If you don't mind, can I ask you something?"
"Uh-huh." Stella nodded as she hummed.
"The gate of the city, did you destroy it?" Sylvania asked meekly.
"Oh~ my bad. I was testing some of this world's parameters. Who knew the gate was so trashy?"
"Uh.. I... I understand." Sylvania nodded her head as she sighed in her heart. 'At least she's very kind, albeit a mischievous troublemaker with unfathomable power.'
"Hehe. I'm sorry about that. Anyway, enough about this boring stuff. Now the reason why I've brought you here... Why don't we chat about your experience as the Goddess of War?"
