Rules of Team-Based Combat

We finally arrived at our objective, well not exactly at the spot, since we needed to stay away from the eyes of enemies watching for us.

"Alright, here we are… don't worry we already had a Pandeka scouted the entire area so they're pretty benign for a beginner like you kids."

In front of us is a camp protected by a wooden palisade. Unlike human camp or fort, it didn't have anything to show the ownership like banner or flag or logo and stuff.

The front gate, however, is protected by 4 Uhndaks with a lit-up spear coated by chaos energy. The top of the wall also crawled with them, but they just lazed around as if nothing will ever strike them.

"Now, don't forget your teamwork and formation okay?" Sir Mahanta reminded us with a warm smile on his face. Classic signature moves from a Genka to their allies.

"Will do, Sir!" We answered in unison.

Guild combats are different from the ordinary ones we do in the military since the scale of our group is also a lot smaller.

Every team in the Guild consists of 8 members, with a minimum of 2 males in it. This is because of the rule of this world which made females and males cannot have the same role on the battlefield.

The New World isn't created by God, but by the Creator, and He has His own vision on how He wanted this World to run.

The New World is always been sexist, with the males as the pillar who leads and the females as the ground who support it to keep it standing.

But it got a lot more specific at the start of the 4th era. Males were no longer able to wield a significant amount of supportive skills, that can help with the flow of the battle. Instead, all of those support abilities are now belong to females.

On the other hand, females aren't able to do a tolerable amount of damage to the enemies, which made them not suitable for killing or taking down the opponent.

However, their supportive abilities are insanely critical, which made Ambawak start enrolling women in their lines, that protect their men from enemy attacks.

We have all already seen how powerful they are from my Versus yesterday, Dubalang Kipeh is just one of many examples of why now females are now important in war.

But these changes also affect tribes that already use females in combat like Genka.

Ina Waraney used to be a massacre unit that obliterates our enemies with their butterfly pistols. Now they no longer held that much destructive power and instead support their allies through dances and enhancement. Which don't get me wrong, also ridiculously strong.

But my father said that this change had made our tribal chief frustrated for a long period of time because he had to rearrange all kinds of strategies and formations that can be used with various female combat classes who were previously tasked with killing opponents.

Luckily for the God of Death, however, these changes happened before the Guild was born, so he was able to made them into one of the fundamentals that built the combat system of our Guild members.

Four main roles exist in a team, DPS and Tank for males, while Support and Healer for females.

DPS and Support themselves can be divided into more specific roles, which for our team, there are 2 DPS and 4 Support co-exist with one another.

Our team lineup is like this:

1. Sahasya Kaukseya | Santi Waraney: Main DPS (main damage dealer, deal the highest amount of damage)

2. Anna Kaukseya | Ina Waraney: Offensive Support (buff the level of damage dealt by the team, mainly the DPS)

3. Hada Kaukseya | Bara Malianis: Sustained DPS (deal constant, continuous damage to keep the enemies at bay)

4. Falisha Kaukseya | Katui Malianis: Defensive Support (buff the level of team resilience, might as well block incoming damage)

5. Chiya Shinigami | Sur Laavak (Support): Obstructer (debuff or weaken the enemy attacks and defense)

6. Hazana Yildirim | Harpactes (Support): Disabler (limit or stop enemy movements and attempts)

7. Revian Draconus | Dubalang Naga (Drakenkrijger): Main Tank (diverts damage from opponents and attracts their attention from other team members)

8. Althea Draconus | Dubalang Moloch (Molochkrijger): Healer (heal the team from all the received damage)

There are other roles such as Sub Tank, which also attack and attract smaller enemies. Utility Support, which not just buffs the team but also debuffs the enemy. Burst DPS, which deals a high amount of damage in a short amount of time. They are the tide turner.

"Revian, Althea, care to share some spice on what enemy we'll about to deal with as soon as we enter the battlefield?" I asked the two dragons since they had the ability to see everything that connected to the ground.

"There are about 124 Uhndaks, 8 Scorpiotans, 2 Butos, and 12 cannons that each manned by 3 Uhndaks." Revian firmly answered.

"Their walls are pretty weak in my opinion Your Highness, but if you wanted to go through the gates of each layer, we can lead you to them," Althea added.

"Hmm… I heard from my father, stories that the first time he went to conquer Kaput Island, the Uhndaks here guarded the now Guild HQ, with a fortress that consist of high and mighty stone walls, why are they now using just… woods? What is the center of this camp?" I asked the two.

"A mine, Your Highness," Revian answered.

"Mine? Isn't that mean more enemies are waiting for us inside it?" Said Hada with his hypothesis.

"Affirmative, Your Grace, but our mission is to only clear the camp am I correct?" Oh, Revian made a good point there, didn't expect that coming from an Ambawak which is known as the dumbest human tribe (didn't apply to the White Horn (Pandeka & Melati)).

I guess since he used to follow orders rather than think of one, he's more observant of the given instruction. Hada on the other hand is more of a free thinker.

"Understood…"

Hahaha… Hada's face was a bit red, he's totally didn't contemplate that reply. Especially with the differences in intelligence both of them have.
