(CHAPTER 39: UNEXPECTED)

"Eh?"

I stare at my result slip, with a huge B written on it. Alongside the word "unranked" beside it,

What on fuck's sake.

I cant blame it though, I expected to fail, but whatever. I recalled the tests I've gone through. I thought of something weird, maybe a battle royale or gladiator or some shit. But it all just a simple, good old fashion academic and physical test. Wonder why all the students are all acting up, it got me on the upper half not going to lie. I immediately checked my result in more detail. I got a average score of eighty in physical test, which is pretty great not going to brag. BUT. Here is the big BUT. I suck ass in academic. You know why? Cause I didn't gave a fuck about this world's history and language. Luckily math is still the good old math. So I barely passed with forty six, but it is enough to drop me till B.

"How's yours." I turn around and stare at Aiko. For physical test she got sixty, but for academic test she got a total of eighty. I guess locals always know what's best huh, and that is enough to send her to A, leaving me in the dust. "Don't worry you will try better next time." She patted me in the back, seeing me disappointed. I am not disappointed, just that, we cant stay together kinds sucks…

"The B's! Over here!!" That scream, time to split the two of us away from each other. "Take care of yourself, okay?" I patted her by the head, it will be very rare for us to met after this. "Take care too." She nodded. I stare at her for a few moment before finally turning back and walk towards the group of B's gathering together. I take a few glimpse, and saw her leaving alongside the A's. I felt disappointment, will she be okay without me? Will she still be the stupid bunny before? Will I be able to climb the ranks?

I had no idea at all.

With those thoughts in mind, I followed the gang as we take a quick tour around the school. The whole academy was square in size, with four wings. Each wing was a corridor that led to different areas of the school. The classes were arranged alongside the wings, five class on one side, hinting just how large this school is. While on the other side was the dorm, fifty of them, two students will be staying in each room. At the middle, where the four wings met was a gigantic stadium, where we all gather for important events. The S's settled at the west wing, A's settled at the south, B's settled at the east and the C's settled at the North.

"Here is your dorm key, don't miss it." At the end of the tour, he guide handed each of us a bronze key, tied alongside a card with the dorm number on it. "Thanks." I take the key and stare at my room number, B-05. "B-05…" I stood in front of a room door, with a wooden sign nailed onto it, a huge word was scribbled onto it: B-05 "This is my dorm I guess." I pushed open the room and entered, before closing the door behind me and locked it with a click.

I take a good look at my room. It was kind of small, standard wooden floor, wooden celling and wooden wall. I bet they really put effort into building, cause I still can hear the conversation of Madam Kiss at the room beside me, clear and loud. There are two single bed, one closer at the door while another closer towards the window. I take the one closer at the window, since the smell of moulded cheese and dead rats is getting worse as time passes. I immediately open the window to let fresh air enter the room. Except than the beds, there are also some basic furniture. A gigantic crocked cupboard, two small bookshelves, a shelf for shoes at the entrance and a small corridor connecting to our bathroom. Ah yes, a bathroom, time for some good rest.

"Ah~" I dip my body into the hot, bubbly water. After a whole day, some decent bath is already quite an enjoyment. Although the bathroom is small, and the only bathtub is that creepy, large stone ones, but I will take that for now. I take a quick glimpse at a small window above the bathroom, the moon is starting to set. I think I should take a walk around the compound and settle down my dinner I guess. It is getting late, why is my roommate not arriving yet…

"Creak-"

There he is.

I grab a towel beside and immediately get out of the tub. First impression is important eh, I started to get dressed up before meeting him. But then out of the blue, the bathroom door is pushed open. A figure entered the bathroom. I stare at him, with only my trousers and still working on my shirt. But he didn't mind though, as he proceed to walk pass me and towards the bathtub. "Hey!" I grab him by the collar and pulled him away before he could even dip a toe into the tub. And luckily I manage to stop him, if not he would've been cooked alive. The current water temperature of the tub is above five hundred degrees, which is lukewarm for me, but not him.

"Watch what you are going to do, you?" I pulled him away from the bathtub and warned, but the moment I saw his face, I knew that the god of luck is a bitch. "You?" He seem to be shock seeing me, but immediately return back to that lazy ass face. "Seidon?" I asked again, too many damn coincidence in my life right now. First that Madam Kiss, my stepmom is my headmaster, and now Seidon is paired with me in the same room. "You?" He seems a bit shock, the expression on his face shifted a little but return to that cool guy as he shook my hand off his collar. "Get your hands off me!"

"What are you doing here?" He asked with a hint of frustration in his tone. Why though, if not because I am your roommate?! I rolled my eyes as a reply, before turning back and exited the bathroom. "Best let the water cool down for a minute." I warned. "If you don't want to turn from sashimi into soft boiled delicacy." With that I grab my student card and exited the room too. Seidon had left a bad taste in my mouth, rude, cold, emotionless, wonder how would I get used to him for a whole month.

"One bowl of Slime Ramen." I gave the cashier of the restaurant my student card. He took the card and scanned it with a special crystal before returning it to me. "Please wait for a second." He let out a smile as he signalled me to stood aside while the chef prepare my order. "Thanks." I take the card back, but it was not long before I spoke again. "Put it in two share."

I lean against the door frame, seeing passer-by, beings of all kind exiting and entering the restaurant. The moon had completely set, it is the true night, with no moon and no stars. I take out my student card and stare at it. This thing sure is handy. It works as a currency in the school compound, refilling every day, with the amount of credit depending on your rank. With it you can purchase daily items and food from shops within the school. For a B ranked normal motherfucker like me, daily meal is what I can afford. Better keep thrifty…

"Get out of my way! Bitch!"
