Several thuds rang the halls of the magnificent castle in the middle of Enarol. Jed was walking with his servants towards the throne room. His father, King Ednar III, had summoned him to report on his progress on his current project. After years of Jed and his apprentice Beatrice's research, they have finally found an efficient way of creating weapons imbued with a magical ore known as jade. Jed and Beatrice were treated with great admiration and respect as the two of them were still teenagers. Their discovery was known throughout the ages. This discovery effectively helped the advancement of warfare, medicine, and technology. The kingdom of Enarol would soon be called the Jaded Kingdom because of this. Unfortunately, only Beatrice will grow old enough to see the future of their discovery. Even till her life's end, she still hoped that both of them could've seen the outcome of their discovery together.
The door of the throne room opened as Jed with his servants entered. The king asked Jed of his progress on the making of jade-imbued weapons. Around 40% of all weapons and armor are imbued with jade, and Jed told the king this so. The king and the prince had multiple exchanges and finally ended their meeting. Jed also split up with his servants and is now walking all alone in deep thought. He has been hearing something in the back of his mind ever since he was transported out of the reddish void. Jed was almost sure that this was the voice of the boy he met in that void. While Jed tried his utmost best to figure out what the voice was saying, a shout came from behind. This time, the voice was familiar to him. It was his younger brother, Zed. With a bright smile on his face, and his short blonde hair flowing through the air, he ran and hugged him on his back, for he was not yet tall enough to reach Jed's neck. Zed told his brother with a voice muffled by Jed's clothing that he just felt hugging him. Before Jed was able to ask why Zed spoke again slowly. Zed had felt that this would be the last time the two of them would have good interaction in a long time. Hearing this, Jed told his younger brother of his plans. Zed hugged yet tighter, and a tear fell to Jed's cape.
Jed had yet another summoning from the king, only this time it ended with Jed leaving rashly. He told the king that he was to ride north, towards the misty mountains. The misty mountains have never been explored entirely before, and Jed argued to the king that if he was to do so first, they would be feared by their enemies. It was not, truthfully, for the fame that Jed decided to travel to the northern mountains. It was to reach the peak of its tallest mountain, Vetta Montagne. It is known to be the tallest mountain to ever exist: the closest to the moon.
The first prince and his servants were about to depart when a carriage interrupted him. His younger brother jumped cryingly with rage. The misty mountains are an overwhelming danger to travel. Jed told his brother a few messages and goodbye, then told the carriage's coachman to take his brother to the castle. While Zed tried his best to retaliate, he only saw a wave from his brother before he was put inside the carriage and transported back to the castle.
