Chapter 326: Half a Year Later

Six months later.

A private hospital in Manchester, United Kingdom.

Over the past six months, Amanda Smith had been meticulously nurturing her body, earnestly eating her meals, and taking the various medicinal meals prescribed by the private doctor Evan Willow had found for her. Yet, it was fruitless; her body seemed to have lost the ability to absorb nutrients. At seven months pregnant, she ended up giving birth prematurely.

The child, who should not yet have emerged, writhed desperately inside her. Warm blood poured from her lower body like a landslide, staining the operating table a gory red. Around her, nurses and doctors communicated in a steady stream of medical terminology in English, as her hearing grew increasingly muffled, and her vision began to fade as if it was disappearing.
