5 minutes before Basem dozed off

Basem was working on the project that he didnt show anyone which looked like an old revolver made out of fancy metal but as they say, don't judge a book by its cover as the simple looking revolver took Basem 3 year to make and he still didn't completely finish it.

When basem felt his eyes closing he mumbled " i hope its not the same dream again " and drifted to the dream land. But sadly for basem it was the same dream as he found himself standing infront an old but huge mansion that resembled the white house except it wasnt white and it was grey giving negative vibes .

This was basem living place with his father before his father disappeared and only left a single letter for his 10 year old son.

"Basem come here " Basem heard a deep voice that would spook anyone out but basem turned around facing the source of the voice which was a middle aged man not too short and not too tall ,have wide shoulder ,a great body that didnt look bulky but you can see well defined muscles under the cloth, short curly black hair,thick black beard ,brown honey eyes that looked similar to Basem's and the most striking thing was the deep scar that went across his face from his left eye to his right cheek.

Basem looked at the man for a second and started running towards him and tried to jump in his embrace but before he jumped he tripped on his own feet just before his face hit the ground he felt a hand grabbing him from the back and lifting him off the ground, Basem looking a the man holding him gave him an innocent smile and giggled "hehhehehe"

"What can i do with u trouble maker "

The catch the man made to grab Basem before falling showed the man athleticism and quick reaction .

"Welcome back dad"said Basem.yes that was his father Basil an ex military and the ceo of techlex before it went bankrupt.

"How was your day basem i heard from zig that you finished creating your first laser weapon"asked Basil

" yes i finished it this morning but i tried adding alot extra touches like a heat sensor and a stabilizer but i failed" siad Basem excitedly at the beginning but completed the sentence through gritted teeth.

If anyone heard the conversation between the son father duo they would have been astonished as thats not what a 10 year old should be able to say .

Basil seeing his son gritting he teeth and clenching his fist out frustration laughed softly and said warmly " its okay to fail and fall but its not okay to stay down whats important is no matter how many times u fail or fall you stand back up and start again"

Looking at his son still frustrated face he said sternly " do you understand "

Seeing his father looking at him sternly he said " I understand " and took a deep breath rested his fists.

"Then show me your lazer weapon after we go eat " said basil "okay" responded basem.

Basil started moving towards the huge grey mansion while carrying basem who kept asking to be praised by his father for finishing his creations earlier than the due date his father gave him .

Reaching the dining room and seating Basem , Basil just sat when suddenly zig entered the dining room with distressed face and said look at basil " sir the black afros are here again " A frown made its way to Basil's face ,second pass by and feeling the tension beginning to form in the air he exhaled and told zig to take Basem to his room and not to come out until the guest leave .

Zig complied and "excuse me young sir " carried Basem to his room who was unsurprisingly quiet infront of his father wierd reactions. because this has happened several times before ,guest comes and Basils face distorts and basem hides in his room, but this time his fathers face was more stressed and distorted which made Basem have this weird feeling that something will go wrong and he hoped his intuition was wrong .

Entering his room with zig that has a face of pregnant women getting a divorce with no child support. The room was big filled with Basem youngest and oldest creation with carton boxes filled with metal parts , searching for anything to distract him of what happening outside with the guests .

He reached for the lazer weapon trying again to add the extra touches listening to his father advice, and he started making preparations to show his father this new invention.

Zig stood infront of the door watching her sirs son genius work which lessened her stress accordingly evident of her relaxing her tensed shoulders.

She kept watching peacefully basem work enthusiastically until they heard loud shouting from the outside and basem heard his father saying " I WONT JOIN YOU IN THIS WICKED PLAN OF YOURS "until zig covered his ears to prevent him form listening to the rest, but even though basems ears were covered he could still hear shouting outside he just couldnt hear what they were saying accurately. So Basem decided to ask zig

"Who are the guests outsides "

Not hearing a response he asked again

" then a better question who are the black afros "

"How do u know that name " asked zig urgently

Finally getting a response from zig he decided to tease her for the silent treatment she gave him "I sneaked to my day office oneday snd found this on paper from his stacks of paper "

Zig face pales instantly " WHAT ELSE DID U SEE "

Seeing the exaggerated reaction of zig he decided to stop " it was a joke chill , i heard u saying the name in the dining room" actually it was a joke he sneaked in to his father office oneday but thats a story for some other time .

Hearing basem, zig started to relax, she had to inhale and exhale to completely relax " you freaked me out young sir"said zig and continued breathing deeply.

" so who are they "asked Basem. Seconds go by and No response again, getting the silent treatment a second time basem was frustrated and decided to use his trump card to make zig talk . With an evil smil Basem started saying " zig if you dont want to talk to me if I rev- " but before finishing the sentence they heard .
