Sea Lord

"The Vast Expanse" had a clear morning without any storms with the water being calm and the wind delightful and with our crew sailing across it.

"The weather is great this morning let's hope it stays this way!"

Codey called while Ayuka had been reading through the books they received on the "Evergreed Island" from Jaro. That was a substantial benefit for them as Tim had been staring over the sea then stepped to Ayuka.

"Hey, hey, Ayuka! Hey, hey!"

Tim grabbed her shoulder while shaking her a bit and then sped up. "Hey, I have a question! Hey, Ayuka!"

From the irritation she had withstood she finally closed her eyes and shut the book and instantly grabbed Tim's scarf and pulled him closer to her eyes.

"What do you want now?! You're being annoying, stop repeating "hey" moron!"

"Yah, sorry about that. I'm hungry, do you think you could cook us something? If I don't get enough meat I'm not going to be able to stay awake! Come on, Ayuka, pleasee!"

"How much can you eat last days?! You're a real pig you know that!"

Tim squatted in front of her and hugged his own knees while hiding his head between them with his eyes looking forward. "I'm just hungry, please." She sighed and grasped her own forehead and dropped the book on the seat and then immediately walked toward the kitchen.

"Codey keep an eye out for the weather, and I'll make us breakfast."

"Yeah, right, everything's covered!"

She opened the door toward the kitchen and began her request. Tim jumped from his squatting position while Elliott stood behind Nina who had been looking at the flag. She didn't notice but Elliott's eyes were shifted into pink hearts while he wiggled his bottom left and right.

"I think I've drawn it correctly."

The flag had a drawn blade that was exactly like Tim's with flames covering it with hues of wind, ice and electricity next to it. Upon her perspective of the flag Elliott's voice sounded behind her.

"Ah, looking at you from here just shows me how perfect you are even when you're observing your own artwork!"

It was unexpected as Nina turned around and saw Elliott's body squishy and even felt uncomfortable thoughts.

"Um, Elliott...do you mind? I'd like to see the book, please bring it to me."

"Yes, dear!"

He raised one of his legs and ran across the deck toward the chair and noticed the book wasn't where Ayuka dropped it.

"Ha? Where is it?"

Codey was looking through the book when he suddenly came close to him while he was crawling on the floor searching for it. Elliott immediately slid on the wood and grabbed the book by the edge and the two boys stared at each other.

"What are you doing?! I'm trying to read the book here, pervert!"

"You can do that later, right now Nina wants it so give it here!"

Codey's forehead touched Elliott's as he pulled the book closer. "I don't care! She can read it later! I was the first to grab it, so if that is all that needs to be said, I'm done!"

"Don't be such a nerd to read books and give it here!"

"No, I won't! Just go cleaning the ship with your body!"

Both of them were pulling back and forth at the same time, and Tim was focusing his gaze into the distance when the weather suddenly changed. In addition to the rain and wind, Nina was also noticing that the wind was becoming more intense, which caused her to back up...

"The weather, it got worse so suddenly! What are we supposed to do?!"

Nina shouted for help as Tim stared up at the grey clouds. "A storm already?" Elliott and Codey pulled the book in opposite directions and it tore instantly with papers flying in the wind. That's the only way they realized just how disastrous things were.

Codey's shock occurred out of nowhere and instead of being worried about the papers flying through the air he quickly ran up the stairs and shouted as loud as it was possible.

"Everyone, watch out, it's a storm!"

Everybody's faces turned serious and the waves started to become wild and stronger for the ship to bounce on the water with the rain speeding past their views enough for Tim's scarf to unwrap itself and fly back, yet he caught it while standing still and covering his forehead.

"It didn't even take five seconds for the heavy rainfall! Is that even possible for the weather?!"

"No, it has to be else's doing and I'm certain about it!"

Codey shouted and noticed the door to the kitchen open wide with Ayuka running out from it. "Guys, what's all the havoc?!"

Since she figured it out on her own, she didn't need to wait for an answer. As she was struggling to catch her balance on the deck because of the waves, the wind rammed at her so violently that her body nearly fell over.

As Nina held onto the fence of the ship to prevent falling, she came into view of water rising in front of her.

"Everyone, there's something in front of us, something massive!"

They all looked at the same spot and immediately noticed huge red eyes glowing behind a vortex of water and a massive creature hidden in the middle of it and it was enough to cause Ayuka to remember the warning she received.

~ "That's right, he is also known as the "creator" of this ocean's monsters called the "Sea Lords". There's over hundreds of these creatures spread across the ocean while some of them are located near each other. They're also known to be massive and incredibly tough to get by not to mention defeat them." ~

With her eyes locked on the monster, Ayuka's body twitched in a tense and scared shake. The cold weather that was created by the creature had grown stronger and her sudden shout alarmed everyone on board.

"It's one of the "Sea Lords", we've sailed right into its domain!"

Our heroes' fear rose when Tim suddenly stepped forward and swept his arm behind his back in the height of his shoulders with orange flames bursting out. The moment it happened, the flames were completely put out, so even if he increased their heat he had no way to use them.

"Guys this weather is too much for my flames to keep burning, there's nothing I can do about it!"

While Codey exchanged glances with Tim he then instantly turned his attention back on Ayuka who called out once more.

"I knew that would be the case! Elliott, Codey, quick we have to stop this beast, now!"

"Are you insane, Ayuka?! What are we supposed to do about it, even Tim can't handle this?!"

Screamed Elliott only to await Ayuka's serious response.

"He can't due to this storm, but we three can! To be honest your abilities should be enhanced in such weather!"

"She's right, Elliott! While our abilities won't be as easy to control they'll be much better!"

With stress on his face, Elliott looked at him, but then relaxed and listened to Codey's warning. "So, what's the plan, Ayuka?"

"Because the vortex is made of water, I should be able to freeze it! There's no stopping it if we battle in the water, that's why I'll make a path for you two! The goal is for Codey to control the wind in the middle. Before Elliott uses the lighting from the storm to manipulate it. Elliott then uses his Godspeed to encircle the body. He should be fast enough for my ice to hold on! Once that's finished, Codey take your boomerangs and throw it!"

"Got it but where should I aim?"

"Prioritize its head and that cross on its head made out of water. It should be its weak point! The book warned me about it when I read it!"

"Oh, right the book..."

"What's wrong with it?"

"It got torn apart and its papers flew through the storm."

"Idiot, how can you be so reckless! Well, that doesn't matter let's hurry up before we're swallowed by this monster!"

"Got it!" Both Elliott and Codey nodded while shouting at the same moment and their plan to eliminate the "Sea Lord" had finally commenced...

In the form of a giant snake with the head of a dragon, the "Sea Lord" opened its mouth and unleashed a beam of blue light that could easily annihilate the ship. This was why they were caught off guard. Tim, however, stepped forward in the flash while holding the sword near his hip, and slashed the sword obliquely toward the beam to guard it. By blowing the beam away, he released intense pressure from his aura, causing it to spread in different directions. As a result, Ayuka jumped over the fence of the ship and twisted her body around. After that, the arm was swung forward to release high-capacity ice that froze the water in front of the ship enough to brace it against the ship's impact.

In order for the ice to remain attached, Codey divided the wind in order to lighten its weight. In the meantime, the cold ice would extend onto the waves and freeze them. As it froze the vortex from bottom to top, it even caught the "Sea Lord."

Elliott jumped over the ship after the ice froze and landed on the frozen sea. He bent his torso forward and absorbed the thunder to increase the pressure. He nearly tore off his clothes when the electrical current spiked up in his hair. However, the power of the gathered electricity allowed Elliott to fly across the ice and zip through the sea for others to witness the electricity suddenly circle around the body of the "Sea Lord," but after reaching the top, Elliott depleted his supply of electricity and fell backward through the sky.

"There, I did it!"

In an instant, Ayuka commanded Codey to stop decreasing the pressure of the wind. Elliott was tossed through the air like a feather when the wind suddenly began blowing hard again.

Codey grabbed the ship's fence to maintain his balance and then immediately pulled the boomerang behind his back, focusing his gaze on the liquified cross atop the "Sea Lord's" head and calculating the distance. The ice began flying through the air even cutting Elliott's skin. His arm immediately swung as he tossed the boomerang through the air, which absorbed the distorted wind and used it to increase the speed and strength of the boomerang, which slammed into the cross and spun, blowing away the splashed water. After flipping back into the air, Elliott pressed both of his legs against the flying piece of ice and summoned his sword.

Elliot spun around in the air after launching himself off the flying ice and sliced the sword through the sea lord's snaky body to the bottom. Elliott bounced back on to the ship's deck after Ayuka created a frozen platform on the waves before he fell into the water.

"The Sea Lord's" loud and tense roar swooped through the air with enough pressure to cause Nina to slip and fall over the edge of the ship into the ocean, thereby nearly killing her. After he caught her by the hand, Tim's quick reaction was enough to save her.

Due to its weight, the massive creature sank underwater, causing the waves to grow larger and tougher. With the others on board, the ship looked like a feather and was knocked around.

Immediately after the "Sea Lord" sank underwater, the weather changed abruptly as it became calmer and brighter. While the water remained still, the clouds returned to white, with the sun already shining over the rest.

The bombarding movements of their ship were relaxing. Each was lying on the deck. As Ayuka slowly stood up, she noticed that they were all fine with Elliott hanging on top of the rudder.

"When I say I have severe resistance to sea Sickness, I wasn't kidding..."

Together they were finally saved and everyone stood up. "We're good! Man that was some crazy ride if you ask me!"

Laughed Tim while stretching his arms above his head. "And now that we finally got through it, can I get some food?"

Ayuka became unamused and before returning to the kitchen made sure to see if everyone was okay, which they were, luckily.

A few minutes passed.

As Ayuka opened the door, the others peeked out from the corners, and she stopped before entering.

As a result of the storm, Ayuka's kitchen was completely messed up and dirty. "Look at the mess... You better clean it up, if you want food!" All of them together became scared and started cleaning the kitchen. Without declining her order, they continued their journey across "The Vast Expanse".

To be continued...
