Ruler of the Grand Canyon

The two boys sensed the abrupt shaking off the ground in the distance almost instantly, and they arrived at the canyon sight of the "Evergreed Island" to figure out what was causing the rapid change.

"This has to be the biggest joke I've ever seen! There's an entire canyon here!" Tim was impatient and astonished, and he needed to know what was going on as soon as possible, regardless of whether it was dangerous or not.

He continued running up the hill after making his decision, while Tim became lost in thinking. "Hey, Tim, I don't believe we should go see that; it sounds violent and frightening..."

Elliott saw Tim racing in the distance, dust flying up from the ground, before he was able to stop him from getting any closer. "You idiot! We shouldn't go up there since that noise could be fatal! What if it's a dinosaur or some other beast coming to rip our guts out? Are you even paying attention?!"

It didn't appear to be the case, so Tim waved backwards to signal Elliott's arrival. "I'll see you on the other side of the hill!" Elliott's eyes were wide open with rage, and his jaw stretched down to his chest. "You're a suicidal maniac!"

<Evergreed Canyon - 2:17 pm>

Tim had been losing patience as he got closer to the canyon and eventually reached the top, extending his arms high above his head. "I've reached the apex of the Canyon! Elliott, look, what the heck is that?" Tim had the most mysterious, creepy yet cheerful smile in presentation, pointing toward the distance and glancing behind him to exchange views with Elliott, but Elliott had already begun to lose energy.

"...how...fast...can you...run? Did you think...about...slowing down...?"

Elliott collapsed on the ground, his tongue spread out, sweat already dripping down his body due to his lack of stamina. "But look, it's a creature I've never seen before!" a gigantic creature with a crocodile-like head and snake-like body had been digging tunnels, producing lesser tremors and rockfalls, it appeared passive from afar because it didn't attack, but its attention was drawn when Tim began shouting and swinging his arms.

To confuse Tim, the creature rubbed its way through the ground, creating a massive hole, then emerged from beneath Tim's feet, ruining the ground.

The rocks, pebbles, and mud had slid down from Tim's standing torso, and with them, a giant crocodile head had opened its jaws, ready to pounce. Tim's reaction was more comical rather than scared as he sprang high above it while the sharp long fangs clapped together, resonating the sound.

"Hey, it looks like it wants to eat me!" By the chuckles, Tim had seen Elliott weeping and becoming muddy as he rolled down the hole. "I'm sick of rolling down slopes, ahh!" Elliott had proceeded rolling on his way to the pile without pausing.

Tim landed on the roadway above the bottom one, which had been demolished, while clutching his scarf. "If I can manage to cook it, this will be a long-lasting supper! The beef is going to be incredible!" Tim observed the monster bouncing off the bottom, attempting to catch him in its big jaw, but he evaded it by leaping high into the air, flipping into a front flip, landing on the monster's head, and sliding down its snaky body.

"Before I kick your ass, I'd want to warn you that at the conclusion of your decapitated body, we're going to roast you extremely hard, but don't worry, you'll get a pretty cozy home!" He began emitting orange flames that were waving in the breeze as he lifted his arm in front of his chest. "Now, take careful not to get too burned!"

He squatted and embraced himself for a forceful launch, which he did instantaneously as he began soaring through the skies, whirling around and aiming his hand before unleashing the flames that began to spread across the creature's body.

The heat of the flames was enough to paralyze the creature's body, giving Tim enough time to summon his sword, which he raised over his head in response to the creature's roar. "And slash!" By getting closer to the beast, the blade slid through the meat of the creature's tail, causing it to roar loudly.

Tim brought the blade close to his hip and pointed it behind his shoulders to continue his supper preparations when he spotted the creature turning its massive head toward him and smiling back.

The creature crept toward Tim at a breakneck speed, expecting to tear him apart, but when Tim's body was trapped in its large jaw, the monster's entire body turned red, and a powerful eruption of flames erupted across its body, floor, and sky, as if it were an active volcano.

The creature's mound grew larger, and an arm and leg protruded from behind it, Elliott's head looking through. "This was the worst thing that could have happened to me!" He looked up to look for Tim after scratching the top of his head and hurried upward to visualize the situation from afar. "Where's that monster, I need to humiliate it..." he said, but when he arrived on the scene, he halted and became unamused when he saw the beast already sliced up and Tim holding the enormous tail.

"Heyy, Elliott. I was able to get some meat, and we should have plenty for the road!" In the distance, he laughed, but Elliott's ears couldn't hear it. "Does he realize that I can't hear him...?"

Tim bent down and reached for the flesh in his left arm, coming closer. "He makes that meat look as if it were made of feathers!" But then Elliott's eyes widened when he noticed Tim stomping on one of his legs and elevating the other while moving his left arm behind his back. "He's not planning to throw it, right?!"

Tim tossed the meat like a football at Elliott, who opened his eyes wide. "He's a complete lunatic!" Elliott was about to flee the flesh when the squishy body slammed into his back, and in the next second he was flying through the air, gripping the meat and crying out, before vanishing in a flash of sunlight.

Tim, on the other hand, clenched his eyes and questioned them as he shielded them from the sun. "I think he should've caught it..." However, as the conflict came to a close, Tim sighed and scooped up the rest of the meat, returning to the Padstow with it.

Ayuka, along with the rest of the survivors, sat impatiently waiting for Tim and Elliott. "Ayuka, are you sure they didn't get lost?" Nina was pondering this as she was chopping wood for the fire. "I seriously doubt that; they wouldn't get lost, especially Tim."

Tim stood motionless, his squiggly eyes fixed on the meat. He was surrounded by trees as the sun slowly began to sink behind the clouds, allowing the rain to fall.

"I'm sure I came from this direction?"

Birds were chirping, and a storm was approaching. "I should be back in Padstow if I head north..." He took a few steps back and peered about, trying to get a sense of his surroundings. "Which way is north?"

Elliott was going through the streets of Padstow, holding the meat he'd been thrown. "It's a good thing I made it just in time! Now all I have to do is get this food to the others." As he took another step, a massive bird swooped down from the sky and stole the meat, just as Elliott thought he was finished for today.

However, in the stormy weather, he felt his arm jitter and looked to the side by turning his neck, where exclamation points burst out and his eyes became squiggly.

He tried again to touch the meat, but instead screamed at the bird. "Give me the meat back, you stupid bird!"

"If they don't come up soon, we'll be without meat; I'm starting to worry that they "really" got lost..." Sweat was flowing freely Ayuka's face and pudgy cheeks as she stirred the sauce. "I should've at least offered them a map..."

Tim had been running in a zigzag pattern, asking himself the same or similar questions over and over.

"Is it this way?"

"Or maybe this way?"

"What about this way?!

"Um? Here?"!

"Erm... here?"

"...Which way is north?!"

Slowly, he came to a standstill and returned to the exact position where he had left off, sweat dripping down his cheeks. "Am I lost...? I'm lost, aren't I?"
