Child of the Spirit

Everyone watched Adhita go berserk. She was like an untamed animal that didn't know how to act with carefulness. "You come to la Cadena de Narón and insult me?!" She swung her trunk in the air, screeched, snorted, and began aggressively smashing the floor with it.

With every hit she made, the ground crumbled more. "I'm going to crush you, crush you, crush you!" She yelled and stepped forward.

Everyone looked in surprise, seeing Adhita readying up to charge at them. "She freaked out entirely! There's no cooling her down!" Shouted Kyora with stress.

"Adhita! You're going to destroy this entire area!" Maxim shouted. "You need to snap out of it!" However, his voice was like a flutter in the wind. It didn't reach her ears or her consciousness. Instead, she charged at Ayuka and the others at full speed, and the ground cracked with every step she made.

Ayuka crouched and placed her palm on the ground. Ice wall constructed itself from the shore. It began speeding forward and growing the further it reached.

"Argh!!" Adhita yelled violently and slammed her club into the ice, instantly shattering it. She charged at her enemies despite the fractured ice chunks being thrown to the side.

Bow turned into the air and backed away. He pulled back the string with many arrows while aiming his bow downward at Adhita.

His eyes received an orange hue that glowed, and with it his depth of field became grey. "What?" He became astonished. "I can't seem to find a target!" They looked at Bow, surprised. "What? Not even inspecting her body for any weaknesses works?" Wondered Bruno, confused and startled.

Bow shook his head, released the string, and shot arrows that rained down on Adhita. However, every that landed bounced off her body as if she was an unpenetrable steel.

"It didn't do anything." Bow gulped, dropping to the floor. "Let me try!" Luca moved forward before dissolving into smoke. He quickly swooped in from the side and made himself known next to Adhita's ear.

In an attempt to sever her head, he slashed his katana, but Adhita roared and swung her trunk instead. She drove it hard into Luca's arm, pushing it close to his body and causing him to lose control. He slammed his back on the wall after being thrown to the side.

"No, Luca!" Shouted Kira, worried. She dashed from the side, moving her arm behind. As she neared the charging Adhita, she tensed her muscles and punched at her head.

Adhita roared with her deep feminine voice and swung her left arm to the side. Kira was forced to defend herself by crossing her arms in front of her torso. But she was then driven back through the air.

Trap spun his cord and then tossed it in Adhita's direction. "You're mine!" He shouted and watched his cord wrap itself around Adhita's club.

"Out of my way!!!" She roared again and pulled her club back. "Whoa!" Trap's body was dragged through the air and hurled against the wall.

Adhita's trunk released hot steam and her fury only increased.

Kou's eyes shook as he realized she had him as her number one target. Adhita tightened her muscles as she got ready to smash against Kou with all her strength. Kou's body got encircled by vivid green energy that was getting him ready to fight.

"Ayuka! Focus on healing Kizu and Ralphie. I'll keep that elephant away from us for as long as I can." Yumiko drew her swords from their sheaths, stretched them behind, and sprinted toward Kou and Adhita.

"Hey, fatass! Over here!" Yumiko was mindful that Adhita was easily offended by such an insult and that she intended to assault Kou as a result.

Adhita's body instantly turned in Yumiko's direction, sparing Kou in the process. "I am not FAT!!" Adhita yelled, her voice echoing through the shore as if she was in a cave. "Uargh!!"

She encircled her enormous club with purple energy and swung it forward without hesitation.

She released a surge of purple energy that whizzed at Yumiko at a rapid speed while dragging the wind with her club.

Yumiko cut diagonally in front of her while encasing her blade in blue light. She blasted forth blue light, slashed it, blasted it forward, and let it swirl amid Adhita's zapping electricity.

Purple electricity got deflected to the side by blue energy, which also prevented it from flowing in Yumiko's direction.

Yumiko observed Adhita raging and charging up another attack. "I may not be able to cut steel, but I'm sure the hell gonna try!" She opened her mouth and put her sword's handle in her mouth, biting it with her teeth while stretching her second sword far behind her back.

Yumiko took hold of the handle of her sword with both hands and encased the blade with a blue flashing energy. The blue energy expanded and took on a longer and broader form of a blade that glittered with the bluest radiance imaginable.

Yumiko's eyes locked on Adhita, and suddenly her hands' skin hardened into black steel.

Bow noticed the such change and became fascinated. "Is that the Forbidden Technique of Enchantment? How could she have learned it out of nowhere?" He questioned in silence.

Luca crawled onto his limbs and looked in Yumiko's direction. "I knew she was a fast learner, but learning the Forbidden Technique of Enchantment just by seeing it once and studying it for a few seconds, it's impressive."

Yumiko continued charging her attack as the blue energy continued trailing around her body at a greater speed.

Adhita and Yumiko prepared to swing their weapon, but suddenly Yumiko's body became immobilized before she could move. Her voice wasn't as easy to hear because she held a sword in her mouth. "N-not... h-him... a-again." Yumiko struggled to say, rolling her eyes behind her.

Blythe caught Yumiko while under the blood-binding spell with an extended arm. "N-No... You." Then, with the help of the phrase "Don't!" she broke his hold and drew a sizable blue circle around her waist.

She turned it around and let loose a wave of blue light in every direction. While Ayuka built an ice wall to block some of the blue waves from hitting her, everyone dove underneath the wave.

Adhita's skin was as hard as steel, but the blue disk she drew with her blade cut through it, making her belly bleed.

Before he could get sliced, Blythe turned into a puddle of blood.

Finally, the massive energy rush crashed against the first gate. The gate was split in half and divided into two enormous pieces that fell to the ground, opening the way to the next area.

Yumiko breathed heavily, and just like everyone else, she was confused about what happened in front of her. She twisted her blades and looked at its handle and her wrist.

Her skin's protective layer of steel broke apart and vanished. She removed her sword from her mouth. "Is the Forbidden Technique of Enchantment's strength increase truly so significant? I never imagined I'd have to learn it. But now that I'm with a crew, I feel pressure to go above and beyond. I'm ready to get stronger still; I'll start this by learning Inspection." She inhaled and raised her head to look behind her at the cleaved gate.

Blythe molded himself back into a human physique and popped out of the blood. "A truly remarkable swordswoman." Everyone's eyes opened wide, hearing Blythe speak. "You're a natural." Blythe reached for his mask and removed it.

And that's when everyone's eyes shook in astonishment. He revealed a face with one of his eyes sliced. "Aren't you-?" and before Bruno could finish his sentence, he received his answer.

"Blythe Yasuda? Yes, I am."

As a result of her absorption of the moon's energy, her powers turned blue rather than gold, representing a moonlit night. She can unleash energy-based abilities from the tips of her blades, which she produces by combining her soul energy with the moon within her.
