Gilgamesh Untold

As time passes, and Ages come and go, history holds firm as the reminder of humanity's story. Stories are passed down, immortalized, and never forgotten. One such story has stood the test of time, and is considered the very first, oldest story ever told... 'Though this history shall soon be forgotten, the Epic of Gilgamesh shall live on forever in my memory, as a sign of who I once was and the sacrifices I had to make.' 'I have learned many things, and have seen even more. I have lived fulfilling lives and accomplished great things. That story has long ended, but my story still remains unwritten!' 'So now, I write my own story! A story of the things unknown to all! The story of Gilgamesh, untold!' *Inspired by the Ancient Mesopotamian 'Epic of Gilgamesh,' and Based off of the work of iKissTurtles (Who I am working with to publish this fantastic take on the age-old character).*

Gilgamesh's Weapon

Gilgamesh eyed the two men with a carefree smirk as they approached.

Despite the fact that they clearly held the superior position, they maintained a large distance between themselves and Gilgamesh.

It was also at this time that a flood of disciples raced over to Gilgamesh's abode, their eyes fixated on the two divine figures hovering in the air.

Among the crowd, Wyg, Law, Big Brother Feral, a number of Inner Diciples as well as countless Outer Disciples and servants appeared.

Little Feather was among them, and when she was about to run through the gates, Law stopped her with a stern expression.

"Don't. You'll only get in the way."

Little Feather suddenly recalled something, and she calmed down almost immediately.

"Thanks, Outer Disciple Law. I almost forgot that my Big Brother is the best!" The little girl smiled with a fist in the air.

Other people didn't share her opinions, though. In order to get a better view, disciples had already started climbing up on the walls and adjusting themselves until they could clearly see Gilgamesh standing in his backyard.

Some others, mostly Inner Disciples, had activated special flying-type spirit tools that allowed them to levitate above ground. They, too, were trying to find the best view possible.

"So that's Gilgamesh?" An Inner Disciple asked.

"That's right. He's the freak that summoned this tribulation. Only difference is that now two Heavenly Immortals have come done." Another Inner Disciple responded.

"This isn't even the first time a person has appeared from the heavens because of him."

"Well, whatever. Let's see what happens. Think he'll die?"

"No shit. Those are Heavenly Immortals!"

While the disciples chattered, Hunter and Pacifist appeared above a nearby treetop, having a perfectly unobstructed view of the scene.

"What do you think?" Pacifist asked as a bead of sweat ran down her face.

"Lord Cloud has shown himself before, so I know that he's just a Heavenly Immortal at the Embryonic Soul stage. I don't recognize the other guy." Hunter explained.

"But, judging by the slighg fluctuations I can sense... His realm must be a lot higher."

"The Banishment stage then?" Pacifist probed, looking slightly worried that her answer would be wrong.

"At least that. Maybe even the Soul Evolution stage." Hunter suddenly sighed.

"Then he's just as strong or stronger than the Old Patriarch. That's just great." Pacifist facepalmed and added a sigh of her own, lamenting.

"Where's Master when we need him?"

Gilgamesh faced off against the two men and decided to open up the conversation.

"I'm guessing Truth's Mind is responsible for us meeting so early."

The Heavenly Master's eye twitched, "You know of The Pious?"

"Of course I do. Those Divine Ones of yours tried to screw me over. They got fucked in the end, though."

Lord Cloud didn't seem to know what they were talking about, so he remained quiet and observed.

The Heavenly Master couldn't tell whether or not Gilgamesh was lying, but just the fact that Gilgamesh knew of the Divine One's existence was enough to partially convince.

"The truth is, I was told to keep an eye out for 'Gilgamesh.' However, the reason we're meeting now is actually because someone wants to test you." The Heavenly Master carefully explained.

"Who?" Gilgamesh frowned.

"I'm afraid I'm not at liberty to say." The Heavenly Master smiled apologetically.

Lord Cloud was speechless. This was the second time he had seen the Heavenly Master act so subdued in all his life.

The first time was with the Sovereign of the Universe, and the second time was with a Condensation stage mortal.

He felt like, with this turn of events, the world was going to end soon.

"Fine. We'll see if you still feel that way when you're about to die."

The Heavenly Master smiled wryly and sighed bitterly.

"If we must fight," he started, "then you should know that I have been ordered to give it my all."

The Heavenly Master's arms spread out at his sides as he made two fists, and his heavenly true energy manifested in the form of a golden halo at his back.

The golden ring expanded, pushing his heavenly true energy and divine aura to the utmost limit.

At the same time, Lord Cloud did the same, and summoned a silver halo as he released his full power.

When they both did this, the sky came to life as though it were enraged, mirroring the actions of the two heavenly beings.

The wind swept through the skies and crashed into the solid earth, spreading out in every direction as a mighty gale.

Some Outher Disciples and servants cried out as they were blown away, and soon even trees were uprooted.

Pacifist and Hunter Guardian acted immediately, and they poured out their power to keep everyone safe.

Gilgamesh glared upward at the two men with an unchanging frown, and he scoffed.

"Was that supposed to be a threat? Do I look stupid? If I'm prepared to kill you, then obviously I'm prepared for you to go all out."

Gilgamesh subdued aura grew exponentially, at his true energy circulated violently. In that moment, every ounce of his newfound power was called upon.

He was fully prepared, like a loaded cannon, and could erupt with all of that power in the shortest of moments.

The Heavenly Master looked at Lord Cloud, and Lord Cloud looked at the Heavenly Master.

Then, with no other choice, they readied their probing attacks.

A stream of mist was furiously ejected from Lord Cloud's eyes, and that mist condensed into a tiny cloud. Holding that cloud in his hand, he charged it with some heavenly true energy and prepared to toss it outward.

"Million Pound Cloud!"

At the same time, the Heavenly Master aimed his finger at Gilgamesh as specks of light gathered on his fingertip.

Once enough of them had gathered, he shot a beam of golden light at Gilgamesh that instantly surpassed the speed of sound.

Gilgamesh watched both attacks coming with an amused expression, and his aura suddenly shifted into an all new state.

The Million Pound Cloud struck Gilgamesh's aura as though it had landed in a sticky web, and it was suddenly unable to move any further before it dissipated.

The beam of light, on the other hand, shot right through Gilgamesh's aura and burned a hole through his shoulder.

By the time Gilgamesh looked down at the wound, the beam of light had already passed through his body and struck the ground behind him, causing a massive explosion that destroyed his pavilion.

Seeing the gaping wound, Gilgamesh's frown deepened. "So there was no nature behind that light, huh? It was just a pure true energy attack."

Thanks to the Obscure Spark within him, Gilgamesh's wound was already beginning to heal and close.

However, he was no longer in a smirking mood.

Lord Cloud was astonished to see his attack defended against by mere aura, and the Heavenly Master was intrigued by Gilgamesh's words.

"So you can neutralize natures?"

Gilgamesh was, also, not in a talking mood.

'Author.'

'Yes, Master?'

'How do I kill them?'

Gilgamesh did not bother waiting for the answer. His true energy erupted and he leapt into the air amidst the sound of a sonic boom.

'If you can suppress the natures of those blessed by Heaven, you will rob them of 99% of their true energy. At that point, they'll have nothing but powerful bodies.'

Gilgamesh snorted coldly.

This was easier said than done.

Suppressing the nature within an attack or tribulation was easy, but in order to do it to a person he needed a direct line of access to their sea of energy.

By now, he was upon Lord Cloud, and he fired a flurry of rapid punches. Lord Cloud called forth a cloud barrier that absorbed all of Gilgamesh's attacks, and the Heavenly Master fired a few more beams of light.

Gilgamesh twisted his body in the air and avoided most of them, but he was still struck by two light beams, and his leg and side were also burned through.

Without uttering so much as a grunt, Gilgamesh kicked off of Lord Cloud's barrier and returned to ground.

"You are an anomaly," the Heavenly Master praised. "But at the end of the day, you're still just a little mortal in the Condensation stage."

Gilgamesh sneered. "Since that's the case, you should be ashamed of yourselves."

"Why's that?" Lord Cloud asked, seeming annoyed.

The Heavenly Master frowned and became thoughtful. He looked at Gilgamesh as green energy flashed in his eyes, but he could not discern anything regarding Gilgamesh's truth.

So, he summoned the full might of his power of truth, and the image of Truth's Mind glowed on his forehead.

Of course, even if Gilgamesh were blind, he would not miss this detail. He finally felt a smirk creep onto his face at the same time as an idea was coming to him.

"Think about it." Gilgamesh slowly gathered power, and his strange aura returned. At the same time, the appearing and disappearing image of his inherent nature showed itself in his sea of energy.

All the other natures looked at it, but found it impossible to figure out.

When this happened, Gilgamesh opened his hand and made a grabbing motion.

"If I were you, I would be ashamed of myself for being killed by some little mortal!"

In Gilgamesh's hand, a pitch black sword suddenly appeared, emitting an intangible and seemingly non-existent aura that threatened to return all things to void.

Gilgamesh held firmly onto the wrapped handle of that sword, and he pointed its tip at the Heavenly Master.

"Stop fucking with me. If we're going to fight to the death, then let's fight to the death!"

Saying no more, Gilgamesh shot into the sky with Samael in hand, and both his true energy and inherent nature were poured out to the extreme.

He headed straight for Lord Cloud, who reacted by shielded himself in clouds while also summoning and swirling funnel cloud that threatened to suck Gilgamesh in.

"Tch!"

Gilgamesh raised Samael above his head with one hand, and slashed downward, slicing through both the funnel cloud and Lord Cloud's defense.

At the same time, his eyes darted to right and Samael flashed numerous times, eradicating a few beams of light.

"What!?" The Heavenly Master exclaimed as an orb of golden light started to materialize in his hand.

However, he was too slow. Gilgamesh had targetted the weaker of them, and was already stabbing into Lord Cloud.

Samael sunk into the heavenly immortal's body, and Gilgamesh channeled his inherent nature through the sword and into Lord Cloud's sea of energy.

"Say goodbye," Gilgamesh smiled.

Lord Cloud wore an expression of pure horror at this moment.

He could feel his power being suppressed before suddenly being eradicated by the combined effort of Gilgamesh's inherent nature and the sword.

In that moment, he lost all of his true energy.

His cultivation ... was crippled!
